I'm typically willing to defend those dumb "don't confuse with X" tags because in a lot of cases I think they're harmless jokes... but we shouldn't carry it over to Administrivia.

^ I would agree. My impression is it's a sly dig at Administrivia, implying these tropes are indeed "obvious". Just my take?
Thing is, Administrivia aren't tropes, they're just... the rules of the wiki. So I think the joke was that "This is A Wiki" is a Captain Obvious statement... though a lot of people do need to be told that so it's not as obvious as it maybe should be.

Personally am not a fan of anyone being able to edit the Administrivia pages that provide guidelines and rules for the wiki.
