Role Flip Backfire

A situation where "put yourself in their shoes" or Perspective Flip fails due to the characters not sharing the same (or even having opposite) views.

For instance, applying a Gender Flip to prostitution:

Alice: You think Unproblematic Prostitution is a real thing and not a male fantasy, Bob? How would you like it if women lined up outside your door and paid you to have sex with them, without ever committing to a relationship?

-beat as Alice realizes men would kill to have her "nightmare scenario" happen to them-

Alice: Oh, shut up.

Could simply be a subversion of Perspective Flip, or Analogy Backfire.

I'm here because I thought applying tropes to Tumblr posts was a good idea.
