The "People's of Middle Earth" page should probably be folded into the Characters page. In my opinion at any rate.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meBump; any other thoughts?
I'm on the 'character page' bandwagon.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.TheLordOfTheRings.Tropes Peoples should at least be renamed Characters. The Lord Of The Rings Other Races, or moved entirely to Characters. The Lord Of The Rings page.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupYeah, just moving the whole thing unchanged to the Characters/ namespace would be the simplest way to do this, if nothing else.
I originally brought this up in the page's discussion, but it got little attention so I'm bringing it here to see if I can get more feedback.
So. The page for Literature. The Lord Of The Rings mostly splits its tropes into subpages in the normal manner, meaning alphabetically. The exception to this is TheLordOfTheRings.Tropes Peoples, which instead lists tropes specifically pertaining to cultures and species, and splits them into folders per specific faction or race.
Normally, when a work's trope list gets too long, it's simply split alphabetically, not by subject. Additionally, collections of tropes about species, peoples, nations and culture seem to typically go under character pages, not main or work pages like this one currently is. In point of fact, there's already some redundancy going on since at least the character page for the elves is developing its own "general" folder for tropes applicable to elves as a whole, essentially creating a duplicate trope list.
Now, my impression, personally, is that the best course of action would just be to split the various folders and sub-categories therein among the various character pages and then cut this page here, but since this is a pretty drastic change to make I figured I should, you know, get some feedback first.
