x2 I don’t think we need a new thread, but if you’re adamant about it no one can stop you making it. I don’t promise how active it’ll be or how many people will post there as opposed to here about it though.
Adventurers: homeless people who steal from tombs and kill things. It's not a Golden Route as the leaks mentioned. Just a Neutral one.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.notably, the reason givne for it not being a golden route was Edelgard's ruthlessness. They didn't clarify whether you kill a bunch of guys with Edelgard or you have to straight up turn against Edelgard and kill her. The latter would certanly explain why Edelgard's route splits in two.
I certainly hope that it's not a choice between those two options.
Oh God! Natural light!Yeah if we could not do the "Woman ruler becomes a crazy, ruthless dictator and must be put down" thing, that would be great.
This song needs more love.RE: Lord Vatek
To be fair, something other then Females Are More Innocent would be a welcome change, so long as it wasn't Character Derailment.
Replacing one negative stereotype with another wouldn't exactly be great.
The whole women can't be trusted with power thing has been a problem in multiple cultures.
Welp, that would be one game I wouldn't be completing then.

"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillI don't see Edelgard being ruthless as a "we can't trust women with power" or anything. I actually like the idea of a protagonist being more ruthless, especially a female one. A lot of FE protagonists are extremely idealistic, and it's unusual for them (especially the women) to be anything more than bleeding heart friendly. Not that there's anything wrong with that in a vacuum, but it gets stale quickly.

I'm mainly just hoping that the serene green haired bishop is the true mastermind, whilst the Obviously Evil Old man we've seen is just a Red Herring. I should hope Edelgard stays playable and isn't shoved to the side. Her being more ruthless then the other lords, but staying heroic/sane wouldn't be a problem. If anything, it could make her a Breakout Character, I feel.

Maybe, but I feel like it adds up to the same thing if you have three rulers, and it's the sole woman amongst them that ends up going mad with power/becoming a tyrant.

"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillBack in RD, Ike was the nice one and Micaiah was the vicious/misguided one, so...
RE: Phoenix Act
We'll have to see, but the last few games have overused female antagonists defined by being controlled or corrupted by a male villain, its been a very long time since we've had a genuinely evil and independent villainess.
I will say that Dmitri seemed to be losing it a bit too, what with the "Kill them all!" bit.
Regardless, I'd much prefer if Edelgard comes close to crossing the line, and you have to choose between leaving her (and probably eventually facing her in battle) and staying by her side while serving as her Morality Chain.
Mind you, even if this story is somewhat darker than usual, I can't really see the game letting the player go full Knight Templar.

Oh God! Natural light!Well I'm definitely picking Claude.
Unless...
What if the student you pick before the timeskip becomes your primary enemy afterwards, and you have to unite the other two houses against them? Now that would be gut-wrenching.
Also, everybody? If it's in the trailer, it's not a spoiler.
Ukrainian Red CrossThe problem is people mixing in discussion of the leaks.
Men, the game's release just keeps getting closer and closer. And I cant wait until the full details of the story are revealed.
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Personally, I can't wait to play the game rather than read leaked full story details.
Just to get an idea, who here would be in favor of splitting leak discussion off into a separate thread?
Oh God! Natural light!Once the game comes out I'm gonna livestream it. Dunno if anyone's interested in watching, but I intend to go in pretty blind, some of this leak info aside.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Made a spoiler thread for Three Houses.
Go nuts with your leak discussion over there.
I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff.Almost at the end of Genealogy, finally putted down Manfroy for good.
Unlike Arvis, who even though he did some pretty awful stuff. I did manage to feel a bit of pity for him in the end.
Manfroy on the other hand? That asshole was pulling the strings of almost everyone! All for the sake of resurrecting a demonic dragon!

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Manfroy just wanted to make all his pairings canon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That reminds me... I have heard this interpretation that Manfroy in a way represents those FE players that pair certain characters for the sake of getting the best stats... taken to its logical extreme.
Though I am not 100% sure if that is how the interpretation went.

I'm wondering if the hook is that seeing all three routes is the key to unlocking the Golden Ending to save everyone. Kinda like how Zero Escape games do it. I'd be down for that.
