If a new thread is made, someone should remember to save this thread for posterity, as inactive threads are being regularly purged now.

Looks good to me, though it looks like it might be a lot of work for you, since you'd be hunting down spellcards and nuggets of gold hidden in this thread.

Well, I'd hope that beyond the already finished write-ups, I'd remember any additions of interest well enough to have them readily available in my mind, or at least to quickly recognize them by skimming.

Hunting down spellcards is only a problem for recurring characters.

Power of Example Rei. Is it because, pronounced as in English, sounds like ...Ray, or just because?

That's not a pun. A play on words, sure, but not a pun.

Unless you interpret it in the sense of being raised to a power, I guess.

Aaah... uhm. Actually, the pun is that "rei" can mean both "zero" and "example".

In fact, "rei" can have so many meanings you could probably make up even more interpretations. Like Rei Ayanami turning everyone into a uniform mass, for instance.

And I apologize once more for not getting on with it yet, but I got sick and I spent the day in a state of mind that really isn't conducive to gathering facts and composing a complex essay...

I don't know how I missed that. When I realized that I had no idea what you were talking about, I looked it up. That definition is right there, and I still missed it. That's some top-notch reading comprehension on my part.

This is meaningless after the fact, but I kinda got it. I first read it as "example" and then thought, "oh, it's probably a pun for 0". Wasn't sure if that was intentional though.

Oh. The thing is, even if I had remembered "rei" also means zero, I'd still have missed it.

Eh, we already tried doing new characters as they come. The conversations are quite slow without fanon backing us up.
