Unclear: Jet Pack

I think it's a robot fighting a dragon in low earth orbit, but I'm not certain on that, much less where the Jet Pack comes in.

I think Deboss' number 2 would work or the pic from Johnny Quest. but since the trope also covers rocket boots could we use something like this◊?

The Rocketeer (or Commando Cody) seems a no-brainer for this trope, so I'd go with Deboss' #2. Curiously, there don't seem to be any good images of Commando Cody that actually show his jet pack clearly.

I agree that the Rocketeer is a great subject. Here's some other options:

The Johnny Quest one was pretty good...

Ooh, that "Flying with a plane" Rocketeer image is great - and it's Russ Heath, too! (I would think the Betty plane art should be OK? It's only relatively modest lingerie.)

The first Jango Fett one Gabriel Gloom posted is pretty good. It is from media, (and from a well-known series for that matter) and it makes clearer that it is a jet pack than most of the other examples in this thread seem to.

It's a pretty good pic, but it needs to be lightened up some.

Let us start the new year, by trying to bring some old threads to an end.

Is this result clear enough, or should we wait a bit after the bump? Considering that one additional person could change the result to an draw.

The issue of the current leading image being maybe NSFW is mentioned. Where do we normally draw the line? Especially with tropes where a NSFW picture is not expected?

We could always just crop the image down to his head.

The one with Betty Page is freaking pointless. It's "jet pack" with something completely irrelevant also in the picture, whereas the other one with the same poll position is just of the jetpack. I think it's pretty obvious which one belongs on the page.

The Betty Page part could be cropped so that she's almost completely out of the picture. That's not a huge problem. The strongest argument for that one is that it's original art, rather than fanart or a staged shot.

I'd actually disagree on that. Cropping out the plane would ruin the composition, and make one of the other images a better choice, probably.

Want we should go with the winner, or what?

I don't think we have a consensus yet. The top two are pretty close. (10 to 8 at the time of this post.)

Well, only about an hour later, it's changed to 11-6, but the real key is in the proportions: the one with the plane is 16-5 or just a hair above 75% approval; the one in second place is 11-5,or just a hair above 66% approval. And this crowner has been open for nearly three months.

I'd say put up the one on top and add the others to ImageLinks.Jet Pack.
