Max Payne in an alternate reality where Hollywood was capable of not being retarded when a surefire thing falls into their lap.
Oh, and regarding Deus Ex, like I said last time this came up I think it would work perfectly as an anime.
I used to joke to my friends about a Leisure Suit Larry animated film along with an animated series. It seems in its best nature for an adult cartoon, although it may be a little late for it though. But I'm not the only one who wants to see it happen though.
As for a film. I think it would be interesting to see a Castlevania film done by quentin tarantino. It seems his style to do so.
Damnit. I hate it how my pc screws up with the postin around here.

You know what company'd actually probably do pretty well with Earthworm Jim as an animated movie?
Dreamworks.
Both Devil May Cry and Bayonetta could make for a really great Monster of the Week type series, basically Buffy EXTREME! Granted, they probably don't even come close to a budget for this in TV land. Maybe an anime but the previous DMC anime makes me feel less then optimistic.
A Mass Effect series in the style of Babylon 5 (but then again, I can just go watch B5 again)
A Castlevania anime
I can't think of anything I'd like to see as a movie though. Most games that have a great story would end up butchered and I don't see the point filming games that have an Excuse Plot.

I'd like to see some sort of Ratchet and Clank OVA. They've already touched on Manga and Comics, so it's really not that huge of a step.
Dreamkeepers Prelude, check it out!Leisure Suit Larry. I remember that. I have a pretty funny story about that game too. My dad introduced me to it when I was a little kid, figuring that since I wouldn't know what to do in it, it wouldn't harm me. Well, I was a clever enough kid that I started repeating language I learned from that game at school and ended up getting in pretty big trouble.
A Leisure Suit Larry cartoon could be pretty interesting. Heck, it could make the character relevant again.
I would give anything to see a Team Fortress 2 Sitcom.
We have a natural right to make use of our pens as of our tongue, at our peril, risk and hazard. ~VoltaireActually, I think Nickelodeon's in-house production movie stuff would probably work well with Earthworm Jim. I do know they've worked with Doug Ten Napel before, on the criminally short Catscratch.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI spoke with Doug(if anyone asks, I was at the comic-con while visiting a few old friends who were living down there) but I didnt ask him about the earthworm jim film. I was talking about the neverhood film. he told me that it never got off the ground.
On the other hand though. I would personally like to see an animated film of Grim Fandango. Just dont get Tim burton to do it.
Speaking of—I've heard there's a beta scrit for the The Neverhood movie floating around. D'you know where it is?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaIji might be a good anime.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I actually would love to see a good Cave Story anime (emphasis on good, of course). Possibly a useful model would be Cave Story: A Novelization, which actually does streamline a good part of the game into narrative; for example, both battles with Balrog in Grasstown/Bushlands are combined, with the effects of the battle blowing up Kazuma's door.
@DYRE: Well, a few of the fights—particularly the Core fights and Ballos' later forms—struck me as good old-fashioned Nightmare Fuel; they'd be even more so when projected on the big screen. But I guess it's not really much worse than some of Disney's classics, so I guess What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? would be overstating it.
@ Linhas: Yeah, the novelization was pretty good.
Except that raises a thorny issue: What should an adaptation do with the whole Silent Protagonist thing? I don't see how a movie could keep Quote completely mute without making all the talky scenes very awkward and unnatural (this was one of the few things I disliked about the novelization). But on the other hand, giving Quote dialogue means giving him a personality, which is bound to tick off everyone who interpreted his character differently before.
The Tex Murphy games would make good movies. Heck, Under A Killing Moon and The Pandora Directive are pretty close already. You could probably take the cutscenes from them and edit them into a movie anyway. I've actually started looking into that. One obstacle I've found, though, is the frame-rate used by the games being a tad on the low side (I'm guessing 15fps) and DOS Box writes AVI files which Adobe Premiere has trouble reading. Hmmm...
Mass Effect could probably be turned into a movie using the game itself. Skip the sidequests and compress the remaining gameplay down into scripted sequences and you could probably get a two-hour movie out of the game.
Space Quest could make for a parody-laden mini-series. I'm suggesting that because if you know what to do, you can beat SQ 1 in under an hour, and I imagine the other games would have similar completion times.
Dare To Dream could make for a rather surreal movie. The game may be in three episodes, but given how quickly they can be finished if you know what you're doing, a three-hour movie for the game is quite possible.
If the number of fan-made mock movie trailers and TV Show intros which can be found by a quick search at You Tube is anything to go by, Star Fox seems to be a popular suggestion. Personally, I'm not too sure if it could work, but if it is made, I really hope they hire a real Brit to voice Krystal.
Accidental mistakes are forgivable, intentional ones are not.
Cave Story would make a pretty cool What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? movie. Animated or live-action, I could see it going either way. The basic plot is already pretty cinematic; we would just need to replace some of the videogame logic with movie logic, i.e. cut back on a few of the boss fights, cut or greatly streamline the various fetch quests, and so forth. Also, more foreshadowing of Ballos.
If I were the one in charge of the adaptation, I'd also expand Curly's role a bit: after her and Quote's meeting in the Sand Zone, show what she was doing those times she was off-scene in the game.
