Speaking of demon levels a few pages ago, I heard from my friend that in Dx 2 (I stopped playing it ages ago), Tiamat is a 3* demon, and the lowest rank of Drake race.
Like, wtf Sega/Atlus?? They're even using her awesomesauce SJ/SH design for basically a filler demon!!
The 5* Drakes are Vasuki (glorified tug of war rope), Fafnir (as mentioned, a Monster of the Week), and Nidhoggr (okay this one is actually justified).
Even Ym, the guy eaten by a jellyfish, is higher ranked than Tiamat.

That same game has Kurama Tengu as one of the lower leveled demons; other games, in my experience, tend to have him be fairly high level.
Tiamat's level in that game is bullshit, though. A mother goddess like her needs to be higher.
Something I noticed in the status screen for them Merkabah, Lilith, Gabriel, and Omoikane have an orb over their head.

I've started up Strange Journey Redux again to finish my Chaos Plus playthrough. I still have to do the two Neutral routes, though I'll probably go back to Soul Hackers to finish the Corridor of Time first before I try them.
If I hadn't played Etrian Odyssey before, I would've thought that huge area with a lot of damage tiles and pitfalls was one of the cruelest things done in video game history. The first Etrian Odyssey game has a similar area, but is much worse due to super-powerful monsters waiting to jump you and tear you a new one.

Ended up locking myself out of Naoya's route, so went for Amane's instead. Now grinding before Lucifer battle and filling what little was still unfilled of compendium. Still need three demons that are not locked, after that I'll probably try to re-fuse the demons I will use with better skills since I won't need macca for anything anymore.

So, I finished watching the DS 2 anime today. It was... okay. Very okay. It ends up killing off way too many characters by the end. When everybody's just dropping like flies, instead of getting more depressed I just end up feeling numb.

I found the DS 2 anime to be kind of a letdown because of that.

I also gotta say the voice acting in the game is far superior to the anime.

After grinding into 90s and still not being able to get past second form of Lucifer, I decided to pass him for now and went on with the plot. I felt Amane's 8th day was a little too good, not in the "well done" but in "making everything great" sense. At least I'm happy to know that the new world isn't as Knight Templar-y as Law worlds tend to be, I was actually surprised angels agreed with giving sinners a second chance as long as they sincerely repent. I also find the idea of losing to Okuninushi hilarious. "People of the world, this Japanese guy is now your leader" -Next day MC and the entirety of Japan disappear- "OK, nevermind" ![[lol]](https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lol2v12_4863.png "[lol]"){kind=small}
Overall, I liked the ideas in this scenario, I just think there was too much going on for one day, so all subplots ended up feeling kinda halfassed.

Mistakes Were Made
Lucifer isn't someone you can just power through, the best way to handle him is by building your teams with him in mind.
My advice for Lucifer is lots of Victory Cry and lots of Elec Drain.

I just started playing the Berserk x Shin Megami Tensei collab in the mobile game. The Skull Knight being a Fiend is just perfect.
I also started Eridanus on my Chaos Plus run in Strange Journey Redux after completing the Third Sphere of the Womb of Grief. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Alex's battle theme is, in my opinion, the best song in the entire game.

One thing I find admirable about DDS 1 and 2 is that it was Atlus USA's first dub project ever, but they pretty much nailed it without too many issues. Having the cast full of veterans probably helped, as well as the fact that it's not THAT wordy, but it's still a respectable accomplishment given other companies around that time failed. The only times the characters sound robotic or wooden is entirely intentional, because they haven't awakened to their emotions yet.
