A Game of Gods: A Multiversal Challenge

Sub-Zero hoped to divert Icarax's attention, so he adopted an expression of shock and screamed "I'M MELTING! OH, MY WORLD, MY WORLD..." as if in pain. While it appeared he was melting, he was actually just turning himself to water slowly. When he had finished, he evaporated into mist.

Icarax would find his fatal strike against Spriggan stopped.

"I knew you were bad news" Kisame growled, holding the blade with ease, and then hammered a chakra-enhanced fist into Icarax's gut, enough to cause sever damage and/or send him flying.

Lambda nodded, eyeing the creature warily."Very much so; however, as long as the creature is not confronted or agitated, we should be able to slip past it without inci..."

He trailed off then, glancing at the altercation brewing between Icarax, Kisame and Sub-Zero. "Stop that, you fools; you'll draw the Chichimec's attention!"

He turned back towards the heart of the clearing, intending to keep an eye on the whirling mass of wings and feathers...only to discover that the creature was no longer there. During that brief moment of inattention on his part, it had slipped away without making so much as a single sound to tip anyone off.

Then a loud and ear-splitting KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! split the air, forcing the Champions to their knees from the awful cacophony, and the Chichimec descended on Lambda from above in a blindingly-fast blur of wings and pinions. The sound of something heavy striking flesh rapidly and with incredible force rang out at least nine times, and when this assault ended, the argent Nomad was sent flying into the gully wall with so much force that he left a ten-foot deep impression of himself in the petrified bone and was knocked senseless.

Sub-Zero pulled his body back together and saw the creature. He then returned to mist form, snuck behind the creature, and reformed. Then, he sent a freezing blast at it, one which would freeze it long enough to land a few blows, or even throw it out.

The ninja's fist caught Icarax in the gut causing him to give a sharp hiss of surprise.

"Am I bad news?".

A lightning bolt was launched at the abomination flying lazily through the air to catch its attention. Meanwhile Icarax hurled Spriggan through the air at Link, lashed out with his bladed shield at kisame and deepened the shadow around him, causing a black mist to drift around the group of champions.

"Sage damn it, Icarax!" Kimimaro shouted as he fired bonebullets at the abomination. "See what you've done?!"

Samehada, wielded by Kisame's left hand, blocked the bladed-shield strike, the blade damaging nothing but the bandages covering the living weapon, and Kisame used his free hand to hammer Icarax in the face.

"I see your DEATH". the whole place lit up as a rondom barrage of Lightning lit the walls up and decorated the walls with scorch marks.

A hand made of shadow stopped Kisame's punch centermeters form Icarax's face.

"You idiot! We could have gotten past that thing if you hadn't turned on us! If you wish to die at our hands, couldn't you have held back until we weren't in this realm of wrongness?!"

Kimimaro fired another wave of bonebullets not at the Thing, but at Icarax. At the same time, Kisame "spat out" a barrage of ultra-dense water bullets at Icarax.

"Pah, elementry" Said Icarax as he looked at the incoming attacks.

The attacks hit, pummeling Icarax with their wrath.

The dust cleared but Icarax still stood looking nasty as ever.

"A matoran with a stick could have done better than that, you threaten me but now I see that you merely bluff".

A shadow blast sent shockwaves of dark energy rippling through the place, throwing the champions away from Icarax and towards the flying abomination.

Since Sub-Zero was behind the abomination, it had the opposite effect of sending him away. This gave him the perfect opportunity to begin forming an ice grenade.

Kimimaro and Kisame halted their flight, the former tossing a kunai with an explosive tag wrapped around it at Icarax, while the latter launched a pair of Water Shark Missiles at said insane... Bionicle character.

Digamma, at this moment, was by no means a happy deity. His sanctum was in ruins, the full splendour of his fortress was thoroughly tarnished, and something had managed to get into his domain without his allowance. Add to that the complications inflicted on his plans by that oafish maniac, and the whole day was full of sour notes.

And yet...

One Last Thing Before I Begin... Hehehheheheheheheh...

Down in the caverns, one of the glistening formations began to reflect gold. Then a horrendous, rictus-bound face imposed itself on one nearest to Lambda, teeth parted in a silent laugh. Then words scratched themselves into the rock noisily, gilded as per usual:

jUNIOR'S DEAD, kID. FATHER OF THE EON YOU ARE.

Saren utilised his biotics to fling debris at the maddened Makuta, keeping his distance.—

The attacks all hit the Makuta doing damage but not enough, laughter rang out from the din.

With the ice grenade fully formed, Sub-Zero snuck up and tossed it over the abomination and at Icarax.

Icarax's lightning bolt struck the creature full-on...and did not even singe its feathers; the electricity forked and split, arcing and gamboling harmlessly across the Chichimec's innumerable pinions in a halo of blue energy. Sub-Zero's frigid blast, but contrast, did seem to coat the creature in a fine layer of frost and slow the frantic flapping of its wings ever so slightly, but beyond that this attack seemed to trouble the abomination not, and it punished the Lin Kuei for his impudence by smacking him across the jaw with one of its wings, hurling him away with considerable force.

Kimimaro's bone bullets streaked towards the creature, quickly vanishing amidst the Chichimec's whirling wings; whether they had any effect on the creature at all was difficult to determine. In any case, the abomination was no longer content to remain where it was; a blur of motion, and suddenly it was gone...reappearing directly behind Icarax. As it faded into view behind the belligerent Makuta, the beast's pinions crackled faintly and the tang of ozone filled Icarax's olfactory sensors; then the rumble of thunder split the air, and a scintillating bolt of lightning, six feet wide and at least thirty feet in length, plummeted from the sky to strike the Makuta with far greater force and intensity than the squall he himself had called down a moment earlier.

Kimimaro and Kisame simply stand back and watch as Icarax gets fried, content to let the Thing do their job for them.

Sub-Zero slammed into the wall and bounced off. He was dazed for a moment, but then again, he'd survived worse. He then began backflipping around, leaving freezing ice statues around the abomination. Then, he ran back to the wall and began forming two ice grenades.

Rey moved forward, aiming Big Baby towards the attacker, gritting his teeth as he crouched and fired a shot.

The creature, of course, was not content to vent its frustrations on one enemy alone. The ice sculptures which Sub-Zero left surrounding the Chichimec shuddered momentarily, then cracked at their bases and floated into the air, caught in the grasp of a powerful telekinetic spell. They hovered in the air for a moment, surrounded by a faint green glow as they revolved and tumbled, then turned to face their template and aligned themselves like missiles or lawn darts; and one by one, the frigid sculptures shot towards the blue-clad Lin Kuei at considerable speed, attempting to either freeze him in an ironic reversal of his own strategem or at least bludgeon him with the sculptures themselves.

At the same time, a second bolt of lightning struck the ground just to the left of Kisame, and a third made landfall in dangerously close proximity to the Doctor. Before anymore could plummet from the heavens, however, Rey's shot struck home...and the winged monstrostiy rocked in place as it let out an ear-splitting screech of pain.

Kisame was briefly stunned, but quickly gathered himself, throwing four shuriken. Kimimaro tossed a kunai with an exploding tag at the abomination.

Sub-Zero turned to mist, dropping his half-formed grenades. The grenades went PAF! and left snow on the ground, but the statues went right thru the mist. Sub-Zero turned back to normal and attempted again to form two ice grenades.

" Stay put, Narumi, I'll take care of this. TIRO!" Phi said, aiming his big gun at the cluster of wings.

" FINALE!" Phi said as he fired several shots at the monster.

Rey moved closer, still aiming the gun. "Four shots left..."

"Enough!!!"

Link jumped up, Master Sword glowing with golden light -

And drove it straight towards the Makuta's Kanohi Krakhhan, its light- infused blade capable of outright disintegrating anything Icarax could put up against it.

"This will cease.... NOW!!!!"
