Disgusted, galen leaves the Doctor's mind. His eyes turn bright yellow, and he positions his as as-to-yet not ignited lightsaber near the Doctor's belly. "Oh, I get it. The Multiverse revolves around you, Doctor." He snarls, a deep, animal voice, and says, "Give a reason not to disembowel you, Doctor."

The dervishes proceed to tear apart his body with vicious yanks and contractions of the chains. While the "blood" of the Nomad wafts into the gilded shape, Digamma moves towards Xi, still frozen. —

The snake watching the Doctor and Galen suddenly hisses at both of them, and then coils itself around Kimimaro's shoulders, resting its head on one shoulder and then glaring at them both.

His construct body destroyed, Quingenti faded from the room. He was enraged, to be deprived of his target... but there was nothing he could do now but withdraw.

Suddenly, like liquid, the lines of blue, red, and purple light flowed down Blink's body.

"No!" she snapped, standing. "You're not... you're not going to take me-"

But she faded with Digamma.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

The Doctor's voice turns cold and almost heartless. "You need me Galen. I am the only one with experience on horrors like this. You can disembowel me if you wish. But when you are whimpering like a CHILD at the creatures you'll think back to this moment. And you'll regret the choice."

Ravage glanced briefly at the snake, tail twitching faintly as he briefly considered whether it was yet another of those seemingly infinitely-varied creatures, or perhaps something conjured up by one of their allies. Given the fact that the serpent seemed nonhostile and that his optic sensors weren't screaming in protest simply from looking upon it, the Predacon felt safe in assuming that the latter was the case; the fact that he bore a vague recollection of the symbol on its forehead was associated in some way with that boastful, bone-extruding human youth only further reinforced that assumption. As such he paid the snake no further heed, turning his attention back out the window and his mind back to more important matters.

Though he had not spoken with anyone since the journey began and thus had not received an explanation of how Jack had obtained the Key, the circumstances in which it had occurred left little doubt as to the gist of what had taken place. And if the Predacon's assumption was correct, then that also indicated a hint as to the true nature of their benefactor...

The bus screeched to an abrupt halt, slamming everyone forward in their seats. Dr. Langley turned slowly in her chair, glancing over her shoulder to fix the Doctor with a stare that would freeze the hottest levels of Hell itself.

"I'm sorry, Doctor," she said, her tone friendly and cheerful—which almost certainly meant that she was a hair's breadth away from murdering him on the spot. "Could you repeat that, please? I don't think I caught what you just said..."

Kimimaro, having been woken up by the Killing Intent radiating off the both of them, was able to stop himself from being flung forward; in fact, his body did not move at all when the vehicle came to its sudden stop. Now, he slowly turned his head to look at Galen and The Doctor, glaring at both of them, his green irises having a faintly visible golden outline along the edges.

Dr. Langley had risen from her seat and strode slowly over until she was standing in front of the Doctor, an extremely wide smile across her face and hands clasped behind her back.

"You know something, Doctor?" she said pleasantly.
