I wonder what would have happend if Madarame had confessed to Saki? I imagine her reaction might be one of three things.

A. Laugh at him and tell him to stop joking around. B. Tell him that she is fond of him, but that she does not feel the same way. C. Freak out and hit him.

I can imagine Kousaka, if he found out about Madarame confessing to Saki, being like "I love Saki-Chan too!^_^".

D. Brush him off by telling him to get in line.

Kousaka would probably suggest a time-sharing arrangement. That's just how he is.

Yeah, well he is a bit suspect; and all the guys couldn't help leer when he was wearing tights.

Everyone is gay for Kouhsaka.

I am beginning to think that maybe Saki DID have some feelings for Madarame after all. It is just a gut feeling though.grin

Actually, Saki does find out in the last? next-to-last? chapter, remember? Ohno's giving Madarame a packet full of pics of Kasukabe's cosplay (from her promised pre-graduation cosplay session), and spills them when Kasukabe walks up. Laughs are had, no one gets punched.

Make of that what you will.

PS: On an unrelated note, Kuchiki and Sue should hook up, since they're both complete freaks and who else would put up with the other?

I thought Ohno got hit by Saki?

Anyways, yeah I forgot about that part. I do have to wonder How Saki felt about that. It is not mentioned again in the last chapter.

Kuchi and Sue together would be so awesome it would make the coupling of Sayoko/Jeremiah(Yeah, I know that is not Canon, but still) pale in comaprison.

I've started reading the manga (can you tell I've been bored the last few weeks). It's pretty good, the artwork seemed a bit messy at first, but I'm getting used to it.

lol, Silly Kousaka

The Art Evolution in the manga is pretty interesting. Comparing the art from the beginning to the art at the end is fun.grin

I thought it had pretty good art all along.

@Jethro: That was one of the best moments in the anime.

The Kohsaka crossplay bit wasn't the best part of that chapter, it's when Kasukabe shows up and is about to say something and Kuchiki interrupts her. Poor Kuchii...

I also like the I Have This Friend moment Kasukabe imposes early on in the series.

Is it even possible for a Real Life person to grin as widely and as constantly as Kousaka?

Magus: Yeah, the I Have This Friend moment was great. Especially when Sasahara and Madarame thought "I am definitely using that image tonight."grin

Recon 5: I do not think so.grin

Rewatching some of the s2 episodes yesterday (hey, I got to go home for a few hours, but there was no internet). Stupid Sexy Kousaka at Comifes was great.

Madarame: [complimenting kousaka's legs]
Ohno: Do you think this is Erotic, or just catering to a certain fetish?
Madarame: ... I think we should stop talking about this.

I think a lot of the humor of Genshiken is knowing that you do talk about stuff like that with your friends. It's very down-to-earth humor.

My university's video game club is alarmingly Genshiken-like, though it is better-organized/tidier/has better hygiene.

It is very funny slice-of-life of people very similar to myself (except the VERY big focus on porn in their nerd stuff...). I want something take to the protocol, though.

I have never seen a manga where people sweat so much. They sweat because they are in horrible queus. They sweat because they are stinking sweaty nerds. They sweat because they are aroused. They cold sweat in fear (usually of someone who's angry). But most of all, they sweat out of embarassment.
