I love how Aqua goes along and pronounces expedition as "expatition".
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Regular Pat put out a new video in which he, along with a couple friends, drafted (like a sports team draft) a list of various predictions for Kingdom Hearts IV. Categories included non-Sora playable characters, the final boss, new Disney worlds, returning Disney worlds, and potential new Square Enix cameos.
I won't go into it all here, but there were two ideas here that did catch my fancy, even if they involve worlds that wouldn't be on my personal wishlist:
- The idea of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland being the first Disney world Sora visits, like how Wonderland was one of the first worlds you could visit in the first game, is a lot of fun (though I do need to actually see this one for myself before I can get a real idea of how I feel about it).
- The premise of Pooh somehow journeying into Quadratum to search for Sora and winding up coming across him in a way that mirrors Christopher Robin is absolutely adorable, and I would be down for Pooh to appear just for a story like this (it would build pretty well off the conclusion of the Hundred Acre Wood stuff in III).

Oh God! Natural light!Pooh would get to Quadratum easily because he didn't know that it is nearly impossible for people to reach Quadratum alive.
"May your heart be your guiding key"Hard Drive has a very relevant response to the recent Disney proxy war drama:
And I agree: Pooh could pull off a lot by virtue of Achievements in Ignorance.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.DARKNESS!
New theme music also a boxOk, I believe you.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I read that Nomura did once consider making a "Verum Rex" game based on the (sorta) fictional video game in Kingdom Hearts 3, but decided against it because he didn't want fans of Sora to worry about his state and if he'll ever get back home.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Ah yes, another filler between 2 and 3.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).That doesn't mean it won't be a spinoff down the line.
Just that he's focusing on 4 first.
Watch SymphogearWell, looks like that's a third game I'm gonna have to get when I get my PS5 for my birthday next year.

If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I wonder if the Mark of Mastery was created by Luxu to scope out powerful keyblade users who pass the test and use them for his body surfing. Kind of like Xehanort's X symbol to tag potential vessels.
-Witty line-Its difficult to draw a pattern from a small number of instances, but Luxu doesn't seem to be picky about whose skin he steals. Bragi was taken well before the age he'd be considered for the mark of Mastery. Braig is an odd factor as we don't know if he worked at Radiant Garden prior to being possessed, and its ambiguous as to whether his unique skills (marksmanship and space manipulation) come from the vessel or Luxu. Assuming Braig lived at Radiant Guardian prior to being possessed, Luxu's only criteria could be anyone close enough to watch over No Name. Whatever weakness his latest meatsuit has can be compensated by Luxu's skill and experience.
In any case, the Mark exam seems to have no defined structure or tradition, based on whatever the hell the examiner feels works for their students situation. Compare Mickey and Dark Road's upperclassmen running errands in different worlds to Sora and Riku needing to awaken the sleeping worlds or Terra and Aqua's simple sparring match.
I like the theory that Demyx is the master of masters
New theme music also a boxI DON'T.
My theory is that each of Luxu's vessels were meant to be the wielders of the No Name keyblade original before Luxu started uses them as vessels.
My theory is that everyone Luxu possessed were the ones that the No Name keyblade was meant to be passed to. Brain, Bragi, and Braig, were destined to be the No Name wielders but Luxu used them as vessels instead.

"May your heart be your guiding key"....? I'm not trying to be accusatory, but could you please explain your thought process? I thought No Name was simply passed down like the Master's Defender whilst Luxu mostly watched it from a distance.

So I was going through our page for III, and I noticed this entry under Sequel Hook:
It's an interesting prospect as presented, but after reviewing the scene myself, I think it might just be the Gummi Ship coming to take everyone to Destiny Islands? Particularly since it shows up in the next scene of the montage with Naminé.
I dunno, what do you guys think? Here's the scene in question for reference, at around 4:20 (eyyy):

Oh God! Natural light!I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is. Not only is the shadow roughly in the shape of the Gummy Ship and lingering over them like the ship coming to pick them up might do, but Roxas and his friends all look up in mild surprise and stare at it as if it was something attention-grabbing, which wouldn't make any sense if it was just some random cloud in the sky.

Well, if no one has any objections, I'll just delete it with a link to this conversation in the explanation.

Oh God! Natural light!Yea, I figured it was just the Gummi Ship dropping by and they were curious as to why. Then the next scene is the gummi ship with Riku getting Namine to go to Destiny Islands, so it's implied that he is stopping at Twilight Town to do the same.
So, it's not a Sequel Hook.
Besides, KHIII feels like nothing BUT Sequel Hook at times.

-Witty line-For what it's worth, if something does end up happening to them in a future game, I'd be willing to add this back, but under Foreshadowing, not Sequel Hook.
Oh God! Natural light! So is the idea that the Foretellers, Luxu and Mo M have their faces covered/unknown because they will have a resemblance to known characters or is it possible that their face designs weren't finalized at the time? Just a thought that popped into my head.
-Witty line-My first thought is that they mostly just did it to look cool and mysterious with no faces designed for them at the time, but they also intentionally left their faces unknown in case they decide in the future to make any of them look like someone we know. Schrodinger's face reveal.
Double post for another video about how Sora flies.
....I have no idea if I should cross-post this in the DC Thread, the Marvel thread or either of the Avatar threads.
