From recent first-hand experience with the first game, literally only Dumbo made you invincible. And that helped make it usable compared to most other Summons (and I tried to use Summons, heheh.) It's pretty much that one, Tinkerbell, and especially Bambi.

I think your definition of worked up is lacking. I'm not particularly upset, I'll enjoy it anyway just as I did BBS and 3D. But I'd far prefer it if the combat reached KH 2 standards.

Hell, it honestly looks even faster and tighter then 2 already, and this is before all the combo modifiers have being implemented, IMO.

I'm not completely sure they know anything is wrong with BBS and DDD though.

A lot of the flashy cutscene finishers definitely seem to derive from that.

I feel like them asking KH 2 gods about combat is a good sign. Of course, it could be a generic "We want to reach out to the fans" rather than "We're aware BBS and DDD were busted as heck."

The Bee Side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.

On the other while do concede that KH 2 FM is a good game, the other extreme can just as jarring. KH 2 FM is the Smash Bros. Melee of the fandom, it just seems over worshiped despite have flaws of its own. The portable games aren't all that bad.

BBS and Re:coded aren't that bad.

Dream Drop Distance is worse.

Dream Drop Distance'es gameplay is better then BBB's, imo, but the abilities being attached to dream eaters was a poor decision, really.

Dream Drop Distance is actually terrible. Like in every way. The balance is fucked up the ass and the story is lame.

Music's good, though.

The fact that you can't heal or use any of your commands while in Flowmotion mode.

The fact that a lot of it, or at least enough of it is still as spam attack-heavy as BBS, meaning you have to dodge a lot with i-Frames.

The fact that dodge roll can activate Flowmotion, and Flowmotion doesn't have i-Frames.

Most of the time there's no hitstun on enemies, any enemies, and most of your long attacks don't have i-Frames at any point.

The Dream Eater boss I remember most is Sora's Spellican in Symphony of Sorcery because I hated that fucking bastard's guts.

You basic melee combo is also completely useless because of the no hitstun thing. Most of your commands are also useless because there's almost no hitstun, you have no iframes, and no superarmor so you'll get off maybe one or two hits and then be knocked out of it.

3D Critical Mode was such a chore and that was with NG+ and me spamming the most broken attacks in the game.

Yeah, but like, I won’t go out of my way to read anything before it. My friend’s loaned me some of the more famous stories, but I have no interest in diving into the DCU pre-Flashpoint.

So has Aqua started turning into a Darkling then? Because that seems to be the going theory.

Part Darkling Part Nort is the common theory.

I'm honestly a little confused about why Ansem SOD and the Guardian aren't more Darkling like, since the Darklings were introduced in Chi.

Like, obviously the Darklings weren't a thing yet, but. You could have designed backwards. Used aspects of Ansem, the Guardian, or even World of Chaos.
