Round speech bubble. Unless Jeph is being really cute with misinformation, she's human.
http://www.mansionofe.comAnd considering how pissed that one guy on Twitter made Jeph, she probably does go either way.
YOU WERE ALL THINKING IT!*runs*
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Not gonna lie, kinda creeped out by Tilly's acceptance of the ethical vacuum created here.
She works for Hanners' mom. "Disregard all ethics questions and problems" is the first thing on the list.
x5
While I didn't know that tell (and it seems to work in general), I'll point out that Spookybot has round speech bubbles.
tilly is def an alien
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterI'm forgetting what the living situation is with the QC cast. Hanners lives on her own with Winslow, right?
Having a live-in assistant is definitely going to be hard to adjust to.
At least she doesn't seem to be having to go through the adjustment Marigold and Momo had to when Momo got a full size chassis.
Fresh-eyed movie blogNot sure how I'd feel about that; the amoral asexual is a trope. It might not be a trope we have yet, but it's a trope.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableIt's kinda just the general cloud of "evil weirdo".
Sounds like Straight Edge Evil.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Probably with some shadings of "detached from humanity sociopath" since sex is such a huge part of daily life.
Today's strip. Probably intentional, but Tilly's insistence on sticking around despite being told to leave has shades of that guy at work who keeps telling their co-worker how attractive they are, and claims it's not harassment because they're just giving compliments.
Hmm, I saw it as more akin to the stiff-backed butler who insists on doing everything for the nouveau-riche heir, even as the heir protests that he doesn't need help. But that's probably because I'm a guy.
I can see how Tilly's insistence can have shades of harassement. Really, her only excuse is "I'm just following orders", wich - as we know - isn't much of an excuse.

I'm giving her the "wacky sitcom hijinks" excuse for the time being.
Hey, question. I'm not very well versed in this sort of stuff — is a relationship between a straight cis man and a straight trans girl considered queer?
Depends on who you ask. I've met trans women who would consider it queer, and I've met trans women who don't want it to be, because they figure it should be seen like any other relationship between two straight people.
Personally, I see it in a sort of hazy area. I don't think I'd consider it a queer relationship, due to them both being straight, but I would be okay with them being in queer spaces and pride parades, since one partner is trans.

It really depends on how you define that sort of thing.
One of the reasons The Discourse™ can get so heated is that people have a tendency to assume that their personal definition is Established And Accepted Fact.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. Is it possible "traditionalists" are going to harass them on a basis of gender identity or orientation? Then it's queer.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI probably chose a more incendiary comparison than I initially intended. But there's a certain level of "if I persist long enough, they'll give in, and 'no doesn't really mean no'" that made me think of the unwanted masher, who may sincerely believe that all they need to do is persist, and everyone will be happy.
That's...a depressingly accurate rule of thumb.
For what's if worth, I second @Smokeycut on this one. The relationship itself is strictly speaking straight, but it would be justified if either member of the relationship self-identified as queer. But again, that's just my take on it.

At that, I only qualified it with "gender or orientation" because I've seen discourse arguing about if straight kink is inherently queer because it's outside the norms.
Fresh-eyed movie blogSame building, different department I'd say.
You're all ignoring the most important part of this arc: ROBOT HORSE! SQUEEEE! I want to team it up with Gunnerkrigg Court's laser cows!
Trump delenda est
Serious question: is Tilly human or a robot? It probably doesn't matter, but so far it feels like she could go either way.
