I'm gonna ask for it for Christmas.
I didn't write any of that.I need to get this too.
no one will notice that I changed thisJust got it too! Its more beatiful then the one I saw originally. Definatly worth buying.
I like Shorts. Their comfortable and easy to wear.I'll get it.
MeI want to see it. Does Netflix carry this version?
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutDefinitely worth it. Making sense is a good thing, but damn, the scene at the end where Rotwang is chasing Maria is narmtastic.
There are snakes in the grass, so we'd better go hunting! My favorite edit is still the Giorgio Moroder version.
Wait, the new extra-super restored version with all the footage they found in Argentina is now for sale?
Link, please!
WOOF!I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas
Finally watching the Tall Man's scenes and the glorious unveiling of Rotwang's statue of Hel are pure cinema gold.
WOOF!Haven't seen it yet, but it is on Watch It Now. I'm waiting for conditions to be perfect. *Drool*

Watched the TV premiere on Turner Classic Movies over Thanksgiving Break (thank God for Ti Vo!), and I was very, very pleased.
There was also a documentary on the recovery of the lost footage, which I'll get around to seeing eventually.
Begging for it for Christmas. Recently tricked my sci-fi club into watching it via Netflix too.
I really like the way the added footage expands on Joh's character - his face on seeing the Hel statue is one of only two moments that add depth/emotion (the other being when he visits sick Freder). Those moments also imply a sort of internal struggle when he's just quietly looking out the window before the lights go out. Makes the end more realistic, like he's returning to the way he used to be rather than doing a complete unprecedented Heel–Face Turn. (Yeah, I kinda think about this movie way too much.)
So glad the Yoshiwara sequence turned up. I just wish they'd found the Joh/Rotwang fight though, I bet it was awesome.
Neal Cassady died for your sins!Joh fights Rotwang? And it's missing?

Yeah. If I recall, there are two scenes that are still missing: The first is when Freder goes to the church and hears the priest's sermon (which later becomes part of his fever dream) and Joh's fight with Rotwang.
WOOF!It's sad that my first response to "missing scene" is "I should look for it on You Tube."
I really wish they'd found it. I mean it's somehow hilariously awesome enough that Joh is somehow right outside an upper-story window RIGHT as Rotwang's monologuing about his evil plan, but adding him breaking through his stoic facade and kicking Rotwang's ass... ah, I guess it's best left to the imagination. They did locate a brief shot with the shadows grappling though (while Maria looks on in a combination of terror and "WTF?"), and it was pretty cool.
Neal Cassady died for your sins!I'm just glad they finally found the Slim Man footage. He quickly became this movie's Ensemble Dark Horse for me.
WOOF!I got this for Christmas! And finally got around to seeing it tonight.
Bloody amazing.
I didn't write any of that.Grrr...I suggested to my parents they could get me this, but they claimed to be unable to figure out what it was I was referring to.
I'll have to get it myself one of these days...
no one will notice that I changed thisGot the Blu-Ray version for Christmas!
Seriously, this movie deserves more love.
WOOF!Damnation, I knew there was something I forgot to ask for! Oh well, there's always just buying it.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Man, it's even better the second time I watched it. I actually missed a few of the plot points the first time (for example, I didn't catch that Georgy 11811 was the guy who took the knife for Freder) (as if the movie didn't already have enough Messianic symbolism).
I thought it was pretty cool how Bridgette Helm portrayed both Maria and the robo-Maria, and both characters' body language were completely different.
I didn't write any of that.Agreed. I love Helm's squinty-eyed and manic smile for Robo-Maria.
WOOF!
And watched it. Now I'm all psyched up.
Any other classic film fans gonna pick this one up?
