TBF, where the heck would he have learned to dance? I doubt Mundus hosted dance-offs in the Underworld. Though I could see Mundus making Nelo Angelo perform humiliating jigs like the "I'm a Little Tea-pot" dance for the rest of the demons to laugh at him.

Mundus is kind of an asshole.

Random thought/observations/questions it would be silly to put in a bunch of separate posts:

• Dante knowing from the very beginning that the 'incident' probably involved Virgil and not warning anyone was a dick move. Idk about Trish, but Lady saw with her own eyes what Virgil can do; she at least would have gone in with a lot more caution if she'd known. How hard would it have been for him to catch the two of them beforehand and say "listen, I don't know for sure, but I have strong reason to think this is my asshole brother making his grand return"?

• Something I've seen countless times but didn't actually register until like, yesterday: as Virgil is splitting himself with Yamato he says a line of poetry, and V does the same thing as he rejoins with Urizen. That's the kind of symbolism I usually spot right away, so I have no idea why this took me so long (especially when it's right there, it's not like it was hidden in any way. Makes me feel old and dumb.). Maybe because there's just so much happening on so many levels.

• I have a theory about why V looks Nero's age despite being the human half of a nearly 40 year old man. Virgil spent a big chunk of his life rejecting and suppressing his humanity. So it wouldn't be as developed as it ought to be, and V's young appearance is a manifestation of that. And I think that's why Shadow, Griffon, and Nightmare appear as tattoos on V's skin; trauma literally leaving a mark. I'm more curious about why his eyes are green and not blue, even though his hair is naturally white when Nightmare isn't napping in it.

• Can someone please tell me what exactly Bloody Palace is?

Eta: I watched a video of V's voicelines, and holy shit, do they sound sinister out of context! If I didn't already know what his deal was, I'd think he was The Dragon. I imagine he'd be a recurring Mini-Boss, showing up without warning to ruin your day and your style ranking.

Given V's dancing skill had to come from Vergil, maybe he knows how to dance but like hell he is showing those willingly, especially to do stupid shit with Dante

Eh, Dante gets along just fine with women. He just plain is not interested in romance.

I don't think he's saying that those games are bad, just that in terms of depth, DMC 5's combat system is far more intricate and complex.

Someone posted a bunch of character voice files on youtube, and wow. Listening to Virgil's, there's one where he says "I've still got it" and I almost died.

Also, V's lines. Some of those make him sound incredibly sinister. If I didn't know who he was and what hhis story is, I'd think he was not just a villain, but probably The Dragon. A recurring Mini-Boss that shows up out of nowwhere to ruin your day and your style ranking.

And Griffon. Fuckin' amazing.
