I repeat what I have said before.
Logging into a site has never been so awesome.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Watched this series purely because it was made by the same people who did Baccano, one of my favourite series ever.
I was not disappointed. Episodes 9 and 10 were ridiculously awesome. And I think my new avatar makes it fairly obvious who my favourite character is.
Listen to Music with Tropers at The Troper Turntable! It is quite difficult not to love Shizu-chan.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. To be honest I think almost every single one of the characters in this show is pretty damn cool. Very much like Baccano, in fact.
Well, I say almost. Just like Dallas Genoard existed purely to be a dick and absorb all of the anti-awesome from the rest of the cast in Baccano, I reckon Namie Yagiri is well on her way towards filling that exact same role.
Listen to Music with Tropers at The Troper Turntable!I didn't know of it previously. But it's apparently good enough to make Saeglopur change his avatar to something other than an album cover, so it must be good!
Very true. I had a three episode catch-up binge last night and was inspired.
Listen to Music with Tropers at The Troper Turntable!Guess it's going on my list of anime to watch, then.
Pretty decent, if a bit on the slow side.
I'm really starting to love this one. The ensemble cast means it takes quite a while to get going, but turns out to be a major strength. Shizuo is awesomesauce, but my favourite part may be Selty and Shinra's dynamic. It's just adorable - in a quite screwed up way.
They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams for an instant, then it's night once moreYeah. Totally screwed up, yet adorable.
I also love the... Theme of the show. About all these strange things going on in a city. Of people bumping in to each other, of everyone having their own story...
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI guess I should watch this too. Probably won't end up doing it, since there's so many anime that I've been meaning to watch that I've just kind of become paralyzed.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.2 episodes so far and I think I am loving this one to pieces already...
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!Oh and the fun is just starting Catch The Sun.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.I've been halfway paying attention to it when my club's shown it (8 episodes so far). I'm not comfortable watching it, because they're showing fansubs of a legally-available series, but I still keep glancing up from my laptop.
In case it wasn't obvious, this was written by the author of Baccano and, well, there's no particular reason they can't take place in the same world.
Immortals, tons of style, Irish fey on horsebikes, alchemy, and weaponized 4chan? All things considered, sounds like a pretty cool 'verse. I still like Ken Akamatsu's better, though.
Which episode does this weaponized 4chan appear in?
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! The latest one (episode 11).
Crowning Moment Of Awesome for Mikado, but poor Celty...
Edit: And a Crowning Moment Of Funny for Sugoi! Sugoi!! Sugoi!!!

"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI have to say, when they revealed the founder of the Dollars, I almost shit myself laughing. That was just so awesome, of all the people.
Yeah, it was.
And it makes total sense too :p Dollars is a meme!
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntJust watched episode 11. HOLY CRAP. That was one of the greatest things I have ever seen.
...Hyperbole? Me? Never.

If the avatar doesn't point it out enough, Durarara has quickly become my favorite anime of the season. Anyway, enough blabber about me... onto the discussion! (A quick request, though, to avoid the light novel spoilers.)
I was a little disappointed that there was no Shizuo in Ep 10, but the mouse clicks of fire definitely off set that. And, of course, Celty was badass, as usual.
And the soundtrack is just pure awesome.
