Yeah, it's entirely possible they'd kill him (intentionally or not), or worse. The Think Tank are so totally dedicated to science for science sake and so totally insane, I wouldn't trust them to build me a toaster, much less do anything with my brain. I mean, the whole Old World Blues DLC is full of their "experiments", 99% of which seems to have either Gone Horribly Wrong or Gone Horribly Right. I wouldn't see House taking such a risk in a million years, unless he KNEW he was going to be dying very soon without their help.
Honestly, I think Brain Uploading on his own terms would be something he'd be more likely to look into if he was concerned about a life support failure. The guy founded RobCo after all, and he already uploaded Jane, to some degree.
I missed the part where that's my problem.House would undoubtedly see that as the Diet Coke of immortality. Though I do have the idea that House probably lives in a kind of Tranquility Lane version of his hotel if we ever were to somehow visit his virtual reality world.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. It at least beats being The Master or Harold.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThe Think Tank did not like House one bit, especially Dr. 0, so House has even more reason not to trust them. They'd create some kind of ironic hell for him.
Or rather, what the Think Tank would perceive as ironic, but none of them would know what that means so it'd just be something extremely petty and nonsensical.

House would also, not unreasonably, believe anything they create is inferior to what he would.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.House is also presumably not desperate enough to consider using the FEV to gain immortality and mobility. His humanity and his intelligence are important to him, and becoming a Super Mutant or a Ghoul runs the risk of damaging both.
Disgusted, but not surprisedMind you, he's listed as an Abomination so that's already a failure.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.I mean, physically. He's not gone off the deep end with regards to his views on humanity, any more than misanthropism does.
Avatar SourceThen again, Think Tanks also count as Abominations so who knows.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI've finished the Khan sidequest by having Karl turn into Swiss cheese. Also, on my way to the Khan hideout I stumbled upon the Fiends and killed Cook-Cook.
Now time to hunt down the Omertas.
Where there's life, there's hope.I saw a recommendation on You Tube ranking all the Fallout companions and it got me thinking about how people might rank the companions in New Vegas. Boone ranks up high for me but I wonder if that's because he's usually the first companion you can recruit (I legit forget about ED-E sometimes). It certainly helps that he's a damn good shot at taking enemies down at range, and I remember the good times as he and I wiped out the Legion at Cottonwood Cove, then made our way to the Fort and wiped them all out ending with Caesar.
I think Arcade has the least impact on me, but mostly because I missed his content my first go around.
ED-E is the best by not talking.
I don't give a shit about your opinion, tragic backstory, or experiences. Shut up and kill things for me, that's why you're alive.

Avatar SourceI finished the Omertas quest with a lot of shotguns. Disappointingly, Boone insisted on fisticuffs even after I offered him the shotgun. After this quest, I got on Caesar's hit list, which is as good an excuse as any to attack Cottoncove. I blew up Canyon Runner's head and used his key to free the Weather.
Now, time to do some Ides of March, and get a replacement brain for Rex.
Where there's life, there's hope.i love Veronica but im not sure how much of that is just me being a lesbian
really, there's no bad companions in the game. everyone is well written and fun to travel with, and they're never an active hindrance to you like they could be in the older games (shoot me in the back one more fucking time, Cass Senior). Lily is probably my least favorite just by virtue of being the least interesting, but i still like her.
I don't recall disliking any companions, but I didn't like the way Raul's quest was unlocked. I think I actually had to use console commands to see it because I'd missed too many of the triggers.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.ED-E first, though really mostly because of the version of him you get in Lonesome Road — I don't like most of that DLC, but I do like what they did with ED-E. After that, probably Cass and Raul, just because I enjoy their quips, then Boone — Boone seems like he should be boring, but the way he's tied into the setting makes him work for me. I like Veronica but I feel like she suffers from not being able to really banter with anyone because as the Courier you can't actually answer her out loud, and she seems like a character who would chat a lot more if she could. Likewise I quite like Lily's gimmick but I don't feel like there's quite enough for her to do; Arcade could be up there with Cass if he pushed back and spoke up just a little more.
And then Rex. And Roxie. Rex is cool but he never got the fleshing-out that ED-E eventually did.
I like the jerks you meet in Dead Money, though it's probably good you can't bring them back (though there is a mod for Dean, I understand). I'd actually like it if you could bring back Follows-Chalk from Zion, though. Or, as long as we're pipe dreaming, the Burned Man himself, complete with the kind of instant negative reaction they talked about putting in Van Buren.
Veronica is a great companion and not just because she's Felicia Day.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.I do wish we could have told Veronica that hey, your ex girlfriend is here and it's probably possible for the two to meet again.
I do like Veronica quite a bit as a character, but I find she's someone I generally come back and talk to at base, rather than one of the ones I bring along. None of them are at the bottom of the list because of dislike.
She strikes me as a character who, if you could have a larger party, would be someone I'd have brought all the time, because banter.
And yeah, it's kind of weird that she doesn't have a bigger reaction to finding Christine *and* Elijah.

I feel like the "only one companion at a time" rule for the later games should get done away with. Having them be able to banter together in the field would be a welcome addition to the formula.
I got stuck with the Brotherhood quest line and I really don't want to put up with these loading screens any longer, so I'll stop New Vegas now.
Where there's life, there's hope.Okay, I'm alone here, but GOD Raul's easily my favorite companion.
...it helps that he's the only human companion you can 100% use no matter what route you're going down.
also all of yall forgot lilly

Raul is definitely my favorite for personality. A Deadpan Snarker done right.
I missed the part where that's my problem.I mean I mentioned Lily. Chloe did.
And yeah, I do like Raul. Danny Trejo! Getting to branch out a little! Raul's great.
Or they'd put House's brain into a Deathclaw.
