You Fail Indexes Forever and the stuff under it has this message at the top
"Please note: This is not a trope. It's a fan-speak phrase and a complaint about the writing, not a storytelling trope. Please don't list it on a work's page as a trope. Examples can go here. "
Did Not Do The Research and other pages under the index don't.
I would certainly think that indexes are not tropes.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! You Fail Indexes Forever is a trope index, not a trope itself, there's no reason to list it. The You Fail X Forever family are all Did Not Do Research tropes, so you're supposed to list the specific trope or subtrope rather than the index.

Fight smart, not fair.Thought I was pretty clear in my question, but I'll restate it.
Everything under the index You Fail Indexes Forever is counted as a "non trope", see these two
While nothing else I have seen under Did Not Do The Research (A superindex to YFIF) has such a marking.
Technically it's an audience reaction trope.
Fight smart, not fair.I don't see how they are how the audience reacts because of a naming pattern.
How is say, an author giving a character a score above 200 on an IQ test more of a reaction than an author having first aid done inaccurately.
We don't want them in the works articles because they are extremely likely to just be pedantry and not in the least bit interesting. People who are interested in reading pedantry can read all about it on the article's page.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI suppose you can argue that research errors go under It Just Bugs Me!, but if that's the case, I'd argue that all research errors should go there.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something Awful
(other Did Not Do The Research flavors)
Topic. What makes the You Fail Indexes Forever stuff "not tropes" anymore than the other, non SPOO Ned, articles about lack of research.
