Jin seems like he'd an emotionally distant father who wouldn't show any outward affection towards his children but nod approvingly whenever they make him proud. Tsubaki would be a tiger mom.
You see how protective Ragna is to his siblings? Should go the same for his child. Though Ragna protested the idea of being parent when having hard time telling Celica directions.
BTW, how's someone like Ragna can tolerate someone as stupid as Tao?

Also why is Valk such a dick to ragna? He seems needlessly rude to him in every game dating back to CT. I know Valk had beef with the black beast but it seems like no matter how much ragna proves himself as a legit dude Valk is usually acidic when dealing with him.
Like he treats Jin better than he treats ragna, though I suppose that makes sense considering Jin is hakumen...wait valk knows Jin = hakumen, right? I'm not sure if he does now that I think about it.

Valk interacted with Jin before he received the Susano'o armor, so he knows of the connection.
And Valk's "Oh Madam Rachel, why him?" line to Ragna always made me saw it as a fatherly anger of some sort towards Ragna since Rachel likes him lol. IIRC too Valkenhayn was a rowdy boy like Ragna in his youth, which may be another aspect.
And Valk is supposed to be a hero....then again Hakumen and especially Nine are gigantic jerks. (Terumi is only brainwashed for Six Heroes so no points for bringing him).

OMG I'm sorry but Rachel is trash in CF. I don't know what it is but I'm having more trouble using her in this game compared to CT/CSEX/CP. She's like the worst character in the game right now for me, like even playing with carl is easier. But at least with carl I can do damage, rachel just feels underpowered.
I don't get what I'm doing wrong with her. I actually R Qd her ladder because I couldn't get past the 4th fight(nu), which is the first time I've done so.
I'll hit up some of her combos so I at least have a better idea of what to do with her. She's NEVER given me this much trouble before though, and I'm not claiming to even be remotely good with her but she was at least fun to play. But this time Idk, she just feels bad.

At high level play, yeah.
If you're not playing at high level, I'm not sure if she's really the best? She's a skill gate character for good reason.
Anyway I was REALLY getting frustrated playing her, but I managed to beat her ladder this time which was helped by drawing Nu as the first fight instead of later on haha. I just really hate her D Ds, as while tempest dhalia is great for stalling to get wind it's not that great and baden baden lily's damage is terrible, like it feels like one of the worst D Ds in the game even with setting up the lobelias.

Like I still find it odd new players consider BB easier to get into compared to GG despite having characters like rachel/hazama/carl/amane, who are so unorthadox for fighting game characters as to feel completely unwieldly unless you really take the time to use them. Like yeah GG is complex but most of the cast feel closer to a typical fighter than BB's cast does. Even Ky feels easier to get than Jin.
Curious, but what's your favorite weapon in Blazblue?
While I suck at actually using them, Ouroburos is up there as well as Ragna's bloodscythe. I like Hibiki's weird gun kodachi too and Matenbou. Minerva can turn into a minijet which is way awesome. So yeah, top 5 would be Ouroburos, Bloodscythe, Hibiki's blades, Mantenbou and Minerva.
What's the matter about 'typical fighting game' I like that those BB chars aren't like typical fighting game, besides GG has something like Jack-O who plays like Tower Defense. I prefer the game have some of their own identity, not another same typical fighter like what's the point on playing same game but different name.
My top 5 (possibly limited to weapons only right?) are Take-Mikazuchi (if this counts), Muchourin, Aramasa (Ragna's sword), Ignis, Ookami.

Favorite weapons huh? The Murakumo unit's wings of swords always was super badass to me. There's Arakune's Entomancer powers, super unorthodox. Ragna's sword scythe, a classic. Izayou full power, Kaguras buster blade, Platniums Muchorin, and of course, big boss Take Mikazuchi
I think weapons (buster blade) may be separate from powers (Arakune's Entomancer)...
I like Bullet's gauntlet things.
Well he uses the insects as weapons, it kinda counts? Its not like its magic.

Bullet is only added for more cast to play to as it's a fighting game too, using the wannabe Tager's Drive. Oh and give her boobs so she's still have some appeal for a forced addition.
