I hate it when games do that. I like feeling smart for solving a puzzle, and having an NPC drop ridiculously blatant hints just as I was about to implement the solution just robs me of genuine enjoyment of the game.

Just give players a button to ask for hints.

Yeah, that is so annoying! What's the point of a puzzle when you immediately start throwing hints at the player?

I'll make an exception for puzzles where the actual parts could be hard to find in a big room or space.

I think there's a turn off option at least, going by the game thread. Too many games dont give you that for some reason.

Weird. Pentiment flew completely under my radar. And it has, according to the PA boys, way too many words.

I have watched the trailer, read multiple reviews, and looked it up on Wikipedia. I still have no idea what this game actually is.

Seems like a choose your own adventure game.

You play as Andreas Maler, a journeyman artist in the fictional small town of Tassing in 1518 Bavaria. When an influential baron is found murdered, and the only suspect is your friend and mentor, you have to find another suspect, while dealing with the townspeople, the monks of the abbey, and the archdeacon sent to pass judgement. Think The Pillars of the Earth meets The Name of the Rose, with a dash of Cadfael.

The game is a 2D narrative adventure game with an art style inspired by illuminated manuscripts and woodcuts. One notable aspect of the game is that, despite the murder mystery at the heart of the plot, it never explicitly tells you whether or not you've accused the correct person, leaving you to have to wrestle with the weight of possibly condemning an innocent without decisive evidence.

Kind of. I actually just started playing it yesterday. You get the box legendary super early, but it's wounded. It has a battle form and a riding form, but because of its injuries, it can't assume its battle form and is usable only as a vehicle. I'm not sure when that changes.

And it's the cutest bike dog lizard monster around.

I think it's a little too far to reinvent the strip as a Garfield knockoff, but sometimes radical moves are needed to keep an IP fresh.

I think it is making fun of those comics that try to "reinvent" themselves by trying to be like more popular comics, but with a gimmick.
