when have atlus ever cared ever about something being 'too hard'

Since they milk the bloated, half living corpse of the cow beast called Persona.

And only Persona.

To be fair, I don't think the problem was either "too easy" or "too hard." It was more that the difficulty wasn't fun. You had to use instant death to clear every encounter because otherwise they were tedious HP sponges.

Interesting... I wonder if we will see any new Personae/sub-Personae... I'l laugh if Demonee-ho is a sub-Persona, although I don't think that he could be any Arcana other than Fool or Judgement. Either way, he would be a high-level one.

I would love to see either Starhair and/or Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse's version of Satan. There are a lot of others I would love too, but these two are the ones I can think of right now.

Yeah, I never finished the game because it just became tedious. Not difficult, just a grind. By the end enemies were Cardboard Obstacles and even FOES were just smashed through.

PQ 2 is gonna be a hard pass for me. Love Persona and all but I personally am not a fan of Etrain Oddysey gameplay.

I think that one of the improvements in PQ2 is an automap a la Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, so I might consider getting a physical cart and free up space on my 3DS.

Having to draw your own map is the main reason I passed up the original. If a game is going to have a map I prefer to be able to use it from the start without having to draw/map it out. If 2 has a map from the beginning I might just pick it up.

I'm pretty sure the recent Etrian Odyssey games, Q included, have had auto-fill options. It took me a bit to warm up to the mechanic myself, but it was always satisfying to see it start to come together.

I never played EO (except for demos), but I greatly enjoyed drawing maps in Q. As far as I remember, there actually was an option for auto map here.

So it comes with the game, a puzzle, four glasses for serving alcohol, four badges, and a pouch. Don't know why they'd include alcohol serving glasses unless they think people 20+ are their target audience.

Well I'll be turning 21 in a couple of months but that's a coincidence really.

idk, me and a bunch of my closest friends got super in to this franchises as teenagers.

Although I do feel like I can better appreciate it as an adult now (I'm currently 20 for the record, I got in to Persona when I was like, 15-16).

You got into it as teenagers, which is why you're still the target demographic today. This game is being made to pander to pre-existing fans of the series, which is why it does things like include the FemC from a game that came out 9 years ago.

Actually, the key target dem for most of Megami Tensei is actually in the E10 up range.

The Dx 2 mobile game is the IOS and android equvialent of e-10 despite having Mara in it....

Hell, the original version of SMT III Nocturne was rated A (aka E for everyone/ PEGI 7 in the west) before all the updated version.

We got 3 games worth of characters in one single game.

No amount of possible good writing is gonna prevent immense flanderization.

To take a guess: Ryuji will be dumber, Morgana will basically be Teddie 2.0, Ann will somehow become actual cardboard, Makoto will start adopting Mitsuru's character traits for no discernible reason, Yusuke will be Cloudcuckoolander incarnate, Futaba will make a bunch of forced references, Haru won't ever get any actual lines, and Akechi will be a totally awesome detective you guys, honest, no murders here.
