I haven't actually read it yet so I don't know how interesting it is, but there's something visually unappealing about having a space between the bottom of the page image and the top of the examples where there's nothing but text for a full screen. For some Useful Notes style pages that's okay, but I think most people have a general idea of what a swashbuckler is in the first place so its a bit jarring.

If you think it's interesting, but it's not relevant to the trope, cut it and move it to a Useful Notes.
Fight smart, not fair. It's a page for the genre. Having the background and history of the genre on a different page seems kind of counter-intuitive to me.
Fast Eddie's comment may have been about a much earlier stage — if the YMMV write-up was transferred straight to the page it would have been just 2 big huge paragraphs and a tag. It probably was about an earlier incarnation, since it's in the archived discussion, not the current discussion page, the "archived discussion" pages are an artifact of the change in discussion format from sometime in the summer of 2010.
I don't see any reason to move that information off the main page.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Moved the image down, which helps a bit. I do think the discussion comments I made were about an earlier rendition.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyMy mistake, I thought it was a Character Archetype.
Fight smart, not fair.Making this an index, if no one objects...?

Bumping this. I can't make heads or tails of whether this has been resolved or not so hopefully someone else will see it and decide for himself.

Guess who, it's Kaosubaloo!
Was looking through the archived discussion on this, and noted that Fast Eddie opined that it was "a bit Wall of Text-y." How many people agree? I could cut the whole historical section in the description, though I must admit I at least find it interesting — still, the page is meant for everyone's use, not just mine. A few simple excisions should do it, if the thing's to be done at all.
Not something that needs to be settled immediately, I think — anytime you guys feel inclined to opine.
