Just happened upon an anime called Highspeed Etoile, which is about a futuristic racing league. I have no idea if the plot or characters are any good, but those cars◊ are a thing of beauty. I skimmed through the first episode, and they are all gorgeous.
Was randomly inspired to rewatch some episodes of Godannar recently.
Ridiculous amounts of Fanservice that I go back and forth on, whereas before, I was all in on it, but I still loved those robot designs (and would love to see them in something again one day actually).
Neo Okusaer and Go Okusaer forever. Best fembots in existence. I will fight everyone everywhere and die on this hill while waving that banner proudly.
One Strip! One Strip! So the first movie in Ghibli Fest 2024 is Spirited Away, and I'm going to the 3 PM showing on Sunday, April 28 (dubbed version).
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I once saw a clip of Lupin III on TikTok, wherein the gang escapes inside of a giant duck while making quacking sounds (with one of them muttering "This is stupid")
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I recently checked to see where the manga adaptation of The Heroic Legend of Arslan was at the moment, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Arslan's group has come face to face with Zahhak. Arakawa's monster designs are as great as always.
While I haven't read the original books, I have seen a few summaries on how the story goes and I heard that this event in the manga was a deviation, so I'm curious to see where the story goes from here.

> I wonder why, with how huge in Japan these series and genres clearly are, they never caught on elsewhere to the degree battle shonen, mecha, etc. did?
Some it is down to how they're marketed to westerners, who probably think they're boring compared to the ones about giant robots
New theme music also a box
