Speaking of Problem Sleuth, I recently realized Percy Jackson's pen/sword Riptide is essentially a PS-style weapon. Not unlike Kanaya's lipstick/chainsaw.
Plus it's a pen that's exactly as mighty as a sword. You gotta love that.

It kind of always did? Even back at the Meat/Candy choice, it felt to me like choosing which of the two different types of fanfic you wanted to read, the ones written by lore nerds or the ones written by shippers, and then proceeded to try to deconstruct both.

Anyone else feel kinda depressed by how Homestuck seems to have practically been forgotten. it was such a huge phenomenon, but these days the fandom is almost compeltely gone, and nobody ever seems to bring it up except as a dumb thing theywere stupid for liking. This series still means a ton to me, but I don't really have anywhere where I feel I can discuss it anymore.

I know how you feel. Homestuck really moved me, and for a few years, the community made me feel like I'd found my people. I miss the thrills, chills and good vibes all the time.
Sometimes I think the sale of MSPA and the lack of a "proper" follow-up adventure stymied people's enthusiasm. I bet Psycholonials would've made a bigger impression if it was hosted on the site.

Well I still like Homestuck proper and don't feel silly/stupid for doing so, but yeah, the community really eroded. I blame the decision to leave the forums dead rather than start them again from scratch (after the backups failed) during a major pause which meant there was little to keep the fans together.
I later heard of the mod team's hostility to fan adventures, and suspect it to be part of the reason they gave up on rebuilding the forums. It reflects a lack of understanding that the fan adventures were really good at keeping the fandom together during pauses.

Also, as mentioned before, the fact that they're making a second Requiem Cafe event should tell you something.

I just think H^2 is really missing animations. I like the new kids and I'm kinda interested in the the philosophizing over what's "canon", but without anything moving the story seems somewhat dry.

This Homestuck Day I find myself thinking about trying to make a fansession. Not a roleplay, but a lil' story of some custom dorks doing a Session and having things go more the way I feel a 'normal' Session would go. Give a lot of those thoughts and feelings about SBURB and Paradox Space out and into something fun and good instead of just haunting my brain forever and ever. Actually do Quests and exhibit character growth and my feelings on The Ultimate Riddle and all that stuff!
Of course, the best way to do this would be to make something small, limited in scope and scale, the better to make something intricate the way I want it to be.
So of course I'm making eight dorks for it because I am an idiot.
