My guess is that the second season will end with Kazehaya's confession since it's only 1 cour.

While I definitely ship Kazehaya and Sawako, I have to admit Sawako and Kent make a great comedic dou.

I could hardly stop laughing this past episode. Kent comes off as funnier in the anime than the manga for some reason... Curse you Miyano Mamoru!

He does the entire "kind of smarmy-but-still-charming ladies-man" voice well doesen't he? EDIT: Though he has quit a bit of range too, didn't recognize him in half those shows.

Finally got round to watching this. What's Kent's game here?

Let's see, if memory serves (I last went through the manga last year before the recent slew of updates since Kazehaya's confession), Kent realizes he loves Sawako after she and Kazehaya have already gotten together.

Prior to that, he's a major target for Kazehaya's jealousy.

...and there's the infamous misunderstood confession scene. Nicely done. Ayane looked so pretty this ep and Sawako is beautiful when she cries.

... Such idiots...

Even Ayane is losing some of her Genre Savvy by letting Chizuru handle things...

Mind you, I am enjoying this series quite a lot ; but our two protagonists are such dorks...

As a rule, I barely read any manga ; and with the backlog I've accumulated, I'm not reading anything else until 2012 at the very least.

Watching the anime cold is more fun, anyway. Would I have embraced Kent so quickly without Mamoru Miyano ? Would Ayane still be my favourite character without Miyuki Sawashiro ? I somewhat doubt it.

^ I happen to agree. Since I was a manga reader, I literally squeed when they announced Miyano Mamoru was doing Kent. I was like "That is so fucking perfect for him."

I'm kind of wondering how japanese writers manage to contrive these situations onsidering they actually *do* have perfectly distinguishable words to use.

The same way writers across the world contrive situations. With contrivances.

Thoughts: Interesting developments for multiple characters in the cast. It's Kitahoro's field trip to Okinawa. Ayane got asked out by some guy named Motoki from Class B and she said yes. Chizu feels more awkward around Ryuu now and holy shit at the end of ch.55 a girl from Class C is at the door of Shota and Ryuu's room looking for Ryuu. My question now is, will this girl confess to Ryuu?

In regards to the manga, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Yano's new relationship isn't going to last very long. She seems to have some issues with relationships, and it'll most likely take that relationship ending for it to come into light.

I think I'm gonna wait on the second season, though. I have a fairly good idea where the anime is going to end, but I don't want to get stuck at the slower parts on the way.
