Seeing that Twilight Wings video reminded me I never got around to finishing Generations after following along until episode 4 as they were coming out in 2016.

I quite enjoyed them. They weren't anything super special. But it was still fun seeing so many parts of the games animated.

I did get distracted by the English voice actors a little though. I kept thinking about Trails of Cold Steel because of how many voice actors are shared.

Silver is voiced by Lucien Dodge in Generations, same as Elliot in Cold Steel.

Just came across this video of Ultimate moves from Pokkén Tournament DX:

Got me thinking of something: what moves do you guys think Synergy Bursts would be in the regular games? Like Decidueye's looks like a combination of Leaf Storm, a bit of it's Z-move, and a Solar Blade via Long Range (as my theory is any physical attack done by a Decidueye with Long Range is them channeling the energy into their wings or whatever body part they are using and then plucking a quill to shoot them from a distance). Not sure about the others. They feel like what we'd get if you could use Z-moves while Mega-evolved to be honest.

This brings me to two other thoughts:

1) Any moves outside the regular canon that you'd like to see as a Z-move (if they were still a thing)? Like Lucario's Aura storm, or Incineroar's Malicious Moonsault 450 Splash X?

2) If they were still doing Z-Moves, what would you guys think of some moves that homage attacks from other anime?

I referenced them potentially doing a shout to Bao Zakeruga from Zatch Bell! myself, along with maybe Zagaruzemu (a sport technique that powers up Gash's electric attacks from that series).

I'd also like to see something similar to Horo Horo's Ninpopo Punch, but that's mostly because I've always liked that name.

Anyone got their own Shout-Out attacks. It's not like it's something new to Pokemon: Volt Tackle is a double homage to both Pulse Man, another game by Game Freak, and to Tekka Man's Voltecca attack. And then there's Aura Sphere (along with most energy ball attacks), and Sky Uppercut. I'm probably forgetting a few to be honest.

I hope if Gigantamax Jigglypuff and/or Wigglytuff is a thing, I hope they get either Puff Up from Super Smash Bros or YOOM-TAH from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Pokemon Masters has Sync Moves which are pretty neat. Mostly similar to Z-Moves (in fact, most of the Alolan characters use their Z-Moves as their Sync Moves), but personalized for each trainer.

Guzma and his Golisopod get "Your Boy's X-Scissor" which is amazing.

I do like how Sync moves fold a few of the gimmicks together. It'd take a bit of work, but I wouldn't mind them trying to do something like that in the main games. Everyone gets a mega, or a gigantomax, or a unique Z-move or whatever (boo to the mons who already have more than one), and anyone who doesn't have a unique one just gets whatever gimmick they want to focus on that time. Would probably be hell to balance though.

So Dragonite's not in the game yet is it?

Shame. I'd like to see Dynamax Dragonite.

You know, I think the best thing about Dynamax is that since it works with everything, it's easy to imagine the Dynamax form of a mon even if it's not in the game. Plus, since all Max moves are the same, it's not difficult to give it moves either.

So Smogon decided that since the next DLC would be out by the time they do their normal sorting of tiers, they decided to shuffle tiers based on the last 13 days the DLC was out.

Anything below 4% of usage went to UU, 1/15th of 4% went to RU, 1/30th of 4% went to NU, and 1/60th of 4% went to PU.

Needless to say, it's a fucked up place.

So, what is the new OU? Like, regular rayquayza, dog zygarde, and I dunno, Garchomp?

None of those are in the game as of this post. However, Rain has made a powerful resurgence and grassy Gride Rillaboom is bopping faces all over. Wish Teleport Chansey is a war crime and the new tutor moves made some pokemon really really interesting.

But if you wanna see how crazy everything has gotten in the tiers below... Here was the latest tier shifts

I’m surprised Pelipper wasn’t OU to begin with since Drizzle is such a sought-after ability.

Lack of strong Rain abusers, I guess. Seismistoad prefers Water Absorb because of Dracovish, and Kingdra just arrived recently.

Unrelated, but Life Prb Rillaboom ad a stronger priority move than Choice Band Scizor. That's pretty hilarious.

Rain got a lot of new abusers with the dlc, such as hurricane Kingdra and Flip Turn Keldeo and barrascuda. Going through a bit of a reinassance.

Also, remember: these shifts only countee 13 days rather than a full month, so some might have just missed the cuff of OU while the meta was adapting to everything.

As I was playing HG again, I decided to go "fuck it" and threw the Master Ball at HO-OH, I wasn't gonna spend hours trying to catch the fucker and I didn't even to rebuy Ultra Balls and Full Restores, besides it's a callback to my own Diamond run years ago.

I did have fun hyping the battle to myself only to end it in such anticlimax, kinda funny how the sound of wind blowing was fitting for that.

Now to farm Heart Scales and level grind for the League.

I want to build a doubles Magnezone, but I'm not sure what the best options are. Obviously Flash Cannon and Thunderbolt/Discharge are a must, but beyond that I'm considering Body Press/Volt Switch/Steel Beam with Assault Vest, or maybe one of them and Protect with Weakness Policy.

Bellossom started out well in gen 2 and 3, but started getting overshadowed so badly starting in gen 4, it became one of the first untiered Pokemon and has stayed untiered since.

[up][up]If you use Weakness Policy Magnezone, then a Mach Punch user can be an interesting tech choice.
