What makes this funny for me is that in the (actually pretty good) game Freelancer, the alien race that attacks the Sirius System is called the Nomads.

That, and they'd be very underpowered compared to everyone else. The heaviest weapon we see anyone wield is a laser pistol, and none of the characters appear to wear body armour.
Then again, they're unbeatable in their fighters.
