One of the tags for that page is "the background pattern thing is stolen from google because :)".
...How much of that can Penders get away with before he gets sued by Google?
Because I find it hard to believe he and his lawyer can stand a chance against Google's team of lawyers...
He would probably plead to get help from what little fans he actually has left.
ComicBook.Sonic The Hedgehog was previously a redirect to the Archie comic work page, but has recently been made in to a disambig page for all four comic adaptations. However none of the almost 400 page wicks have been changed, so I was wondering if anyone would want to help with that.
Also is there any particular reason the work page is called Archie Comic's Sonic the Hedgehog and not Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics).
Guess who just got his hands on all the Archie Sonic comics? Gonna start this crazy train from the beginning while skipping over... large swaths of issues.

Just skip to the Flynn stuff. You'll thank me later.
Maybe, that is when the most celebrated run begins.
What's the stuff I should flat avoid? I was thinking of at least reading the first 50-odd issues but according to Cybershell on Youtube it gets really bad around issue 70-100.

Archie Sonic Online's forums are closing in June due to lack of activity :( http://archiesoniconline.com/board/index.php?topic=1689.0
The Protomen enhanced my life. That's too bad.
Do they still make that unofficial comic continuation?
Yep. Mobius Legends 5 was recently released.
The Protomen enhanced my life.x5 Whatever you do, for the love of God, don't read Mobius 25 Years Later. Some of the most painful drivel I've ever seen.

Especially when it's under Penders' pen. It's whole lot of nothing but cheap teenage drama.
Anyone think it's kind of egotistical for the Archie Sonic comics to give themselves the "Prime" label? Mobius Prime should be the designation of the comics, they could just use Mobius-1
Also since the French comics thought up of the advanced Echidna civilization first, Penders really has even less of a leg to stand on.
One wonders if someone should REALLY bring that up in like a court hearing or wherever this kerfuffle is being dealt with.
It still blows my mind that Bill Finger, the creator of Batman, died penniless trying to get the recognition he deserved but a guy who made a bunch of Sonic recolors beat the system.
Sometimes the world is just not fair.
So I read some of the early issues and of them all issue #8 stood out as a lot of fun. It's all about taking the piss out of superhero comics and involves Sonic fighting against a bunch of robot superhero parodies with tons of lampooning the speculator boom.
Sonic defeats the Spawnmower because it has to stop and pose every few seconds so he runs it down the "Mc Far Lane" and throws it off a convenient cliff. How can you not love that?
Gotta say for all the mud thrown at Ken Penders for being, well, for being Ken Penders, these early Sonic issues are pretty good. Night of 1000 Sonics in particular feels like a six issue Crisis Crossover done in 22 pages.
Mecha Madness was awesome. Should I be reading the other specials and minis (especially Sonic Live)?

The early issues were written mostly by other people. Penders showed up a little later.
I know some people are mixed about those oldest 20-or-so Sonic comics, but I admit to having some fondness for them. How can you say no to stuff like:
Swat Bot: Protestors!
Robotnik: Impossible! I've outlawed all religious freedom!
Honestly, maybe just keep reading all the stuff. I'm curious to see what you'll think.
I've read up to the Mecha Madness special and, honestly, it's all been pretty good for what it was, just a video game tie-in comic book that had no expectations that a bunch of writers, artists and editors decided to try their best at.
I figure I'll read up to issue #100 or so and then skip ahead to Ian Flynn's run, and then read the rest from there.
The thing is, the Fleetway comic was also a video game tie-in comic book that had no expectations that a bunch of writers, artists and editors decided to try their best at, and yet it blew nearly all of pre-Flynn Archie out of the water.
Which is also really something you should check out if you get a chance.
All I know about Fleetway is that Sonic was a total motherfucker to all his friends.
Man, I didn't know that Penders was going for a Halloween issue.
