I remember that. Definitely a nice read, and a good example of a textless story done well.

A bit of a serious issue too… I mean, sexual orientation must be one hell of a headache for trans people…

i have straight friends who have made the "is a trans gay man dating a man straight" "observation" before, so I agree, it must be neverending hell. I'll check it out later, more trans lesbian stories in a world where it's sorely lacking is killer.

Anyone have any favorite artists when it comes to yuri fan art? I recently discovered two that I really like: Kuma and Ticcy.

Kuma is from Taiwan (I think) and does some really good RWBY fan art, mostly Ruby x Weiss and Yang x Blake art. Some of her work is NSFW though, so be careful when searching for her art.

Ticcy, from what I can see, does quite a bit of Little Witch Academia fan art, though she's also done some Fire Emblem art as well.

koyorin is a really good artist.

Draws exclusively girls although she's more likely to draw video game girls than anime/manga girls, but she has dabbled in LWA, Fate, Monogatari, Konosuba, etc.

I like dashingicecream. She mostly does RWBY (which I don't watch), and some Pokemon.

I didn't watch RWBY either (or Little Witch Academia for that matter), yet I still enjoy yuri fan art of those two series.

I also remembered another artist I recently started to follow: Color-LES. She has a webcomic called Mage & Demon Queen that I'm reading right now, though I first got to know her after finding some of her Fate/Grand Order fan art (she seems to like pairing the protagonist with Carmilla).

Mage and Demon Queen is good stuff.

And you can read the entire thing so far in less than half an hour easy.

Yurika's Campus Life… You know those series that technically aren't that good but make up for it by taking their absurd premise and running to hell with it? It's kinda one of those.

College girl Yurika leaves men indifferent but gives off an aura that makes her irresistible to women, to the point there are rumours of her sleeping with half of her all-female school. Much to her dismay, as she considers herself straight. But when her family goes bankrupt after pissing off loan sharks, her only way to get by will be… to actually become the Yuri Queen of the rumours and mooch off of other girls. And she kinda gets addicted to it. After that, every problem she comes across is solved by seducing and sleeping her way out of it, opening the closets of countless women everywhere she goes − even (especially) when she tries her hardest not to.

Soooo… yeah, it's quite trashy and the protagonist is a bit of a scumbag, but the foregone conclusion of every chapter still makes me chuckle. If you're looking for subtlety or a complex character study, though, you can skip it.

I happen to like the premise, but I have been waiting for over a year for new scanlations-I am just about ready to move the bookmark to my 'dropped' folder.

…Yeah, it's annoying when the translation just stops midway through like that…

Regarding episode 7 of Citrus, am I the only one who finds Matsuri's voice pretty irritating? She's a character I don't like that much to begin with, but that casting choice baffles me…

Over the lat month I've played Blackberry Honey. I like it but like most of Ebi-hime games, it isn't my favorite yuri VN.

Has anyone played the Romance Detective games? I like them a lot.

I've heard about them, but I never really played one.

In terms of yuri visual novels, I've been going through Kindred Spirits on the Roof again. I love that game so much; the character interactions are great, and the characters themselves are fantastic.

I really need to finish it... or really, start back over, I think. I got story fatigue halfway through and never really got back to it.

I think that's the point. A large chunk of her character is "annoyingly bratty early teen".

I know, but that sort of "sighish-giggly-whisper" noise she's constantly making is really cringey. >.<

Meanwhile in Ano Kiss chapter 40… It's pretty interesting that Ayaka's motivation has shifted from "beat Yurine to regain my pride" to "beat Yurine so that I can finally have a healthy relationship with her." Her struggle to acknowledge her growing feelings without denying her own efforts is quite remarkably depicted, without falling into melodrama. I really love this couple more and more. Ayaka and Yurine's character development is really a treat to follow.

Oh, nice! I really like the manga, so I'm curious to see what the anime is like.

The Asagao to Kase-san OVA is available, for those interested. It's an hour long. Haven't watched it yet, but it certainly looks pretty. =]
