Maybe it was Mobile Suit Manami throwing a freaking javelin through a UFO, but something tells me that Kio isn't the one wearing the pants in this foursome.

Is there any material for a second season? Anyone read the Light Novels?

I thought the three of them were less Gundam and more Tekkaman Blade but that is just me. Especially with the shoulder and forearm mounted energy guns firered in the same position as Tekkaman Blade. Also, the vehicles they were riding around (or surfing) reminded me of Blade's own mode of transport.

It was a bit of both probably, but the vehicles themselves were clearly from Mobile Suit Gundam.

Kio is a classic-anime Otaku, remember. No reason it can't be both. =D

This was ludicrous and wonderful. The SF fan in me appreciated the Christmas present - a space elevator! Practical. :-D

BTW, I really liked how they didn't even use Tenchi Solution cliches, like "Yay, problem solved! Catians happen to be polygamous/polyamorous", instead, Eris considers humans unusually polyamorous enough for a Tenchi Slution.

Also, I wonder how was it in the original novels? Did they skip some arcs to get to this ending, or it wasn't the real ending there? At moments like this, I'm really tempted to learn japanese.

That struck me too, Eternal. It seems a little odd, but given the Catian cycles of heat, the fact that only documented relationships are valid must help with inheritance and things like that.

I don't know... the issue is that, unlike, say, Suzumiya, the Asobi novels aren't that popular over here. I can't even find plot summaries of them.

I can't get onto FF.net right now, but basically it's AckSed's intepretation of how Haruna managed to survive on her own in the Magic World.

It is, of course, hilariously inappropriate.

I don't think he even had anything that extreme. It would have been hilarious if she found some Brain Bleach requiring Rule36 stuff.

From Eris' reactions, and what we've seen, Kio seems to have a lot of swimsuit magazines, and maybe some light hentai. Certainly nothing requiring Brain Bleach, though, or the series would have ended in Episode 2 when Eris fled Okinawa in horror and Captain Kuune had the planet glassed.

But I mean, hey... the Catians have access to both the Multitask Bells and the Super Multipurpose Holoroom. There's no way the higher-ranked officers haven't experimented.

...This show is to Power Perversion Potential what One Piece is to Wacky Wayside Tribe. The Grand Line lets you come up with anything; the Catians' equipment lets you come up with anything.
