the genius thing is, she's had so many false accusations nobody will actually believe she did it

I like how she's technically the final boss of the series along with Godot.

I've been saying for years that Maya is the shadiest person in Ace Attorney. She's been on the stand for multiple homicides and every single time, she's managed to skate by solely on account of having the best attorney in Japanifornia in her pocket.

An attorney who has, himself, been arrested for murder a couple times; They've just never been able to make anything stick.

I'm happy that with the Apollo trilogy DD and SOJ are getting physical US releases.

Well you know something isn't good as soon as I see this from an interview. Even the words get me a lot.

You know, with there being a Pheonix impersonator, I'm surprised Edgeworth hasn't had one yet.

Maybe one of the Paynes could do it.

I have the feeling that Edgeworth would make the life of anyone trying to impersonate him hell. Phoenix doesn't have that kind of clout.

I mean, Furio was arrested for murder in a setting which enforces the death penalty. So, y'know, didn't go so well for him.

Bonus points for his impersonation being the reason Phoenix became involved with the case.

It's funny how he didn't know about it until months after IIRC.

Forget about being executed, the ending of the game implies Viola's just going to poison him in prison.

The Apollo Justice Trilogy comes out soon. It's rated T, so I guess Dual Destinies was re-rated to T too.

Now we can finally enjoy Apollo's three different backstories from three different games in one

In fairness, his "backstory" in 5 is simpl, "someone I knew as a kid became an astronaut". Spirit of Justice was the one that went off the rails.

Anyway, even though it was ultimately against my better judgment, learning that North America is getting a physical edition of this collection after all when that wasn't the case at the initial reveal made me preorder a copy.

If we ever get an AA 7, I hope it ends with Maya being accused of killing the president of North Borea or something equally over the top.

For a twist, Maya will be the defendant but ACTUALLY guilty. But for something like traffic violation that will still involve a murder somehow.

It's weird calling 4-6 the Apollo trilogy. 5 is more about Athena than Apollo.

You say that as if this series cares about Athena.

We need ANOTHER defense attorney introduced, but like a hardass edgy sad backstory hardass with edge who wants to condemn his clients at first but learns to trust him through friendship. Could be named Tim Execution or Doom von Verdict.

I think Spirit of Justice also isn't really Apollo's game, because he doesn't get involved in the main plot physically until the last chapter.

Phoenix is the one doing everything, and him and Maya's reunion is what the game was advertised to be about.

The trope page has a lot of "Apollo is the real protagonist near the end" stuff.

I still wonder how the original 'underground court' thing would've played out. Maybe that can be game 7 and focus on Athena.
