From what I remember, the Urahara part is definitely not true. The Aizen, I've read in interviews a few times, put I can't remember where exactly. Bleach in particular has a big problem with misconceptions, whether of what happened within the story or outside of it. I've honestly no idea what makes Bleach much vulnerable to rumors, fake news, and misconceptions compared to other series.
The Urahara thing is a particularly pernicious rumour. Even I believed for the longest while.
As for why Bleach is more susceptible to fake news, I think it's a combination of people amplifying fake information like supereyepatchwolf and there being a lot of information given out in stuff like databooks and interviews and no well known people in the fandom that translated those things accurately.
There used to be the same problem in the Type Moon fandom and conversely, there was never really that issue in the Raildex fandom.
Searching for meaning in meaningsMeh, it's a thing that goes around with a lot of anime. Dragon Ball still has the whole "Toriyama wanted it to end with X arc" rumors, Naruto has the "Kishimoto wanted Sakura to end with Naruto but the fans made him choose Hinata" rumors, and there's a LOT of old Sailor Moon rumors that have kind of become "facts" people take at face value.
Rumors are easy to spread. I just kind of want a clear source for Kubo not initially planning on Aizen being a villain.
It's not even exclusive to anime. Over in ATLA, there's the "Suki died young" rumor, despite the only Word of God statement not saying anything remotely like that.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySo, I tried to look up where it's said that Aizen was a last minute decision, but I couldn't find it. Instead, I found an interview from 13th blades, which I'm not going to link since it contains too many spoilers, where it's implied Aizen was planned early on to be the traitor. However, a certain mellow Shinigami with a nasty older brother was originally planned to betray Ichigo.
I got duped too.
Speaking of original plans, Kubo's first concept for Orihime was that instead of fairies, she would grow horns, wings, and a tail, turning into a demon-girl. His editor told him, the heroine had to be cute, so Orihime ended up with fairies. I do wonder if a certain other character's form might have been born out of that.
Anyway, while these explanations explain misconceptions of the Word of God kind, it doesn't explain why there's so much misconception about the stuff that happens in the actual manga, especially the final arc.
Again, would like a source on that, but I do kind of prefer Orihime's powers being themed around fairies. It's cute
There are a lot of people who either don't read the manga or stopped reading it long ago but go around making gotcha posts about stuff out of context to score online points because of the perception that Bleach declined in quality during later arcs or because they don't like the way the story went.
Searching for meaning in meaningsIt's from Bleach Jet, not linking it because it contains many other spoilers: But that's the part in question:
Also, with regard to Orihime, she puts her Shun Shun Rikka into operation by way of her hairpins doesnβt she? Although this is also a matter from before βBLEACHβ was serialised, Orihimeβs powers were at one point completely different to what they are now, there was one version in which she would sprout horns and a tail to look like a dragon girl. Personally I thought this was cute as well, but I was told by Asada βthe heroine canβt look like this monster!β (Laughs) Iβm relieved it was Shun Shun Rikka in the end though (laughs).

But dragon girl tho
Forever liveblogging the Avengers...I kinda want to see dragongirl!Orihime.
I guess he was told that before monster girls became popular.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyDragon-powers would have fit like a glove to Tatsuki, it's even in her name.
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.Oh my god, that'd be perfect.
Once again, Tatsuki should've had a greater presence. She's so great.
Dragons have been relgated to Burn the Witch, The England Spinoff of Bleach for now.
Watch Symphogear⦠now I'm wondering what the other countries would get. Dragons? Hollows? Fiends? Cheeseburgers?
"What ails you, my friend? Stay a while, and listen~"this is a fucking tragedy
it's a crime
Thinking on it...I mean, I guess I could see it working. It'd be distinctive, at least. Especially with someone like Orihime, with her personality.
I guess I'm just fine with what she already has as her power.
I mean, I don't think Kubo ever did any super monstrous monster girls anyway. Some of the Resurrecions look freaky but that's mostly the extra bits, the cute girl attached to them tend to stay cute. Closest might be unreleased Harribel's mask, really. Granted I might be forgetting some Vandenreich girl having a freaky one. Spoiled for our new reader.

Secret SignatureI wouldn't be too surprised to find out that Orihime's power somehow came from the Soul King.
Mr. Tommo's got a character analysis video about Halibel up, and to be honest, even though I like her, everything about her design, importance, fight and execution is a reminder that Kubo seems to put women's sexiness above their actual importance or reason. Even Yoruichi in her last fight wasn't immune.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThe anime has already been confirmed to expand her role. For one, she's going to actually speak as her voice actress has been recording stuff for the anime. I hope that Kubo will expand on his initial plans for Hallibel with her joining Yhwach in his new world as a hybrid, as implied in the novels.
Those were his plans? That seems like the exact opposite of what he went with.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySpeaking of misinformation, I wonder how true a lot of rumors are? I remember being frustrated with the Espada, Aizen, Ichigo,"plotkai", etc.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Volume 10, Chapters 80-88.
Oh, hey, Diana. You're reading Bleach now? Cool.
What arc are you in now?
I've heard of that, too, but I never actually found a source. Granted, I never really looked but I remember asking the thread as well.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Getting into the Soul Society arc, apparently. And this is the big game changer, really.
Wake me up at your own risk.
Chad is great. I like how he's this big tough guy with a kind heart. Kinda cycles between serious and a little goofy without changing expression.
Orihime is adorable. She's kind of a dope, but she's a lot more perceptive than I expected, and I like how kind she is.
I'm slowly warming up to Uryu after his debut. He kind of reminds me of Iida from My Hero Academia? Maybe it's the glasses. He's kind of stiff but it's pretty clear he's a dork, which is funny.
I'd appreciate a source, to be honest. Too many rumors out there about what any given mangaka "really" intended.
