Seriously, though, nobody expects this death to stick. Mostly because, if it did, it would be a deeply unsatisfying.

The real tension revolves around is he right, or was it Kore after all?
He just got killed by a dwarf, and there was screaming involved. It's done. This prophecy had been way too long coming, and I'm glad to have gotten it over with.
The real question is in what state he'll come back.
It's pushing the meaning of "a great battle with another dwarf" somewhat, though. Well, the "with" was probably intentionally ambiguous...

EDIT: right,, right, I remember now how she tried to do a Screw Destiny by killing the fox she was supposed to save, but then it turned out the fox had a horrible disease and she actually ended its suffering.

Huh. I was curious as to how long it had been since we last saw Dies Horribly - it was over six years ago.
More interestingly, the last we saw of him had Klik dying and turning into a pile of dust ... which we just learned is actually reversible, given enough other Kliks. Also, we now know that Dies Horribly's replacement arm from Klik turned into a warped Klik because he was too young to do the body-part-replacement-healing properly. Said warped Klik was last seen completely uncontained and killing the replacement characters of Forgath and Minmax's fellow players in the strips immediately following the first link in this post. Oh, and it's already pretty much at the power level of "near-instantly kill anything within reach"; its positive is "blood" (very common, and which it can acquire from its victims), and its negative is "the energy from the Blue Orb of Bloodlight" (currently only found in Dies Horribly's new artificial arm, or in the Key of Darkness, which was last seen dropped by Grem in front of the dungeon crawl). EDIT: also, Kliks clawed or bitten by warped Kliks get infected and turn into warped Kliks, zombie-style. This may have been part of the reason Klik chose to die instead of trying to eat the metal Dies was offering him, and is also what caused him to dissolve into the sand-like powder instead of just dying.
I wonder how long it's going to take before Dies and Fox interact with Forgath, Bowst, Idle, and Ward. I suppose it depends on whether the Kliks manage to resurrect Forgath successfully; otherwise it would just be the latter three.
