So, first episode aired and subbed. Thoughts?

Damn got to wait till I get home to watch it. I added a pic to the trope page wtb a shorter redirct to it.... freaken hell long title.

Somehow I like it because the brother seems somewhat snarky. Also, it's sort a subversion of an incest anime I guess? That's always in the forefront of the subtext but they always dismiss it so it's got this weird feeling.

Full title is Ore No Imouto Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai. Much like Kochi Kame, Sai Kano, and Kare Kano, I'm not entirely certain anyone actually uses the full name.

Pretty sure it means "I can't believe my sister is this cute".

"There's no way my sister is this cute" is how I would translate it.

"My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" is the translation all sources I care about (here, Wikipedia, danbooru) use.

Sankaku translates it as "There’s no way my little sister can be this cute"

Well they all mean the same and there couldnt be a truer title because my god.... I think she is the new poster child for Moe screw Mikuru she is old news.

The shoutout◊ to one of Ayana Taketatsu's previous roles made me chuckle a bit.

I enjoyed the episode overall. Growing as a family is pretty cool. At least I hope it's family growing and not another type.

Hahaha she's got Kiss X Sis on Blu-ray. Next thing you know we'll see a Fender Mustang lying around.

I thought maybe there was a slight reference to Azunyan when she said something about how little sisters should all have black hair and twin tails, but I'm not sure if that was originally in the story or something they added in to make that reference.

I find the premise pretty weird, but this is the only pilot this season that's made me laugh, so I'll keep watching.

I love the art in this. That's all I can really say right now, since I haven't watched it yet, though I definitely will since I love the manga. For anyone who's read the manga/novels, is it pretty much the same? Or did they change things?

I've only read the first chapter, but it's closer in style to the novel than the manga. No big deviations from either.

It's pretty much identical to the manga at this point, very early days though.

Though i have to say, Kyousuke is a nice guy, if someone woke me up at that time in the morning, hellbeasts abound.

Also Himatsubushi. I don't know which is better though.

Neither do I, but I'm going to watch Mazui's subs mainly because of familiarity (they subbed Angel Beats!).

In my experience they're both quite good.

Mazui's pretty good for their speed.

Anyway, some things I noticed:

• Kyousuke has nearly the same kind of narration as Kyon, minus the philosophical stuff.
• Kirino has the following real world items in her possession:
  • The School Days, Summer Days, and Cross Days Visual Novels.
  • The original (I think) Da Capo Visual Novel, though this is only because I saw a character on a box that looks exactly like Nemu.
  • A 1/8 or 1/6 Waitress Asahina Mikuru figurine, from Sighs. Check the closet at around 18:35.

If the figurine's the one in shadow I don't think it's Mikuru. At least, unless she got a gigantic bow on the front of her.

I also agree on the Da Capo, but I thought I saw number 2 instead.

Isn't the ribbon belonging to the fictional mahou shoujo anime there? Although yeah, I'm talking about the figurine in the shadow.

Weird show. I kind of like Miss Norma "That's not really a compliment..."
