Serious question: is it recommended to give away the passwords for sockpuppets if you don't care about them? Or should you just wipe the account with the deletion tool?

I think so.
The problem was that, before, someone claiming a new account would get whatever profile it had before. (Like when someone claimed Santa Claus, and had the same sig, title, and avatar that I'd given it.)

I wasn't complaining, just making an observation. Besides, some people (namely AU) were doing that manually anyway. Saves the trouble.
