This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Honestly all I wanted to do in that thread was discuss the most common criticisms of the Black Panther film and why I liked it, but yeah I probably shouldn't have brought up the Critical Drinker or brought up people who act like it only got good reviews because it would somehow be racist to criticize it. Argh.

I was told that my suspension has been lifted but it's been over a week since I've been suspended from posting. Is there like a waiting period or something?
I understand that my concerns about another troper's editing have gone too far, and that my accusations against them were unfounded based on everyone's review of their edits. I would like to think that my feud with that troper has ended, and we can go our separate ways. I hope the mods understand I have good intentions, and am trying to improve this site.

~perkeez, we have received concerns that your issues with another troper (rva98014) has reached grudge/harassment levels. You should be aware that our cardinal rule, "Don't be a dick", does not allow such behavior.
In addition, you seem way too protective over your edits. Remember, this is a wiki. Naturally, edits you make can be deleted or changed. If you have an issue with that, perhaps wiki editing is not for you.
I'll give you one chance—and only one—to explain why we should not make your ban permanent. If you fail to convince us, then you can kiss your troping career goodbye.

I promise to not harass rva98014 anymore. Initially, I thought I was just raising a concern, but I pushed it too far. I have dropped all complaints against them, and we have gone our separate ways. I acknowledge that rva98014 is helpful around this site. I also understand that if an edit I make can be improved, then anyone is free to do so. I believe I have good intentions, but there are occasions that I fail to act on these intentions, which I apologise for. I can only hope that I am allowed to edit again.

I spelled a lot of words wrong and I wasn't fit to be an editor which was why I was banned, but I've changed. I'm able to help edit pages more and have my advice be added despite being banned. I would want to be unbanned to help editing even more than I already have.
I'm sorry I deleted something from the Madness Mantra page. I won't delete an example again.
Also, I know I have done several other things, which I don't remember, but won't do again. I will be polite and more serious about character pages from now on.

I won't deny that I have made some rapid changes. I am also not afraid to admit that I was ignorant. However I still stand by what I said that it was not my intention to insult or slander someone, nor start and Edit war.
If you do not want to give me another chance that is fine. However I would rather you not beat around the bush and just tell me directly.
I wish I could post again, but I would have to seriously rethink my behavior here if that were to happen. At the very least I should probably avoid the MCU thread since I clearly have no goddamn clue how to contribute to it effectively.
