This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Septimus Heap I've started doing that. Maybe not all of the works on a page, but I have started crosswicking the majority of works on my trope pages recently (about a month ago) to curb complaints.

I understand. Truthfully I had no idea that there were discussion forums for tropes. If I ever come across anything in the future I will do that instead.
What do I need to do to edit pages again.
I'm not going to appeal since I can wait but I'm just wondering how long the suspension is going to last. I can guess why it happened but I was surprised it actually happened without a notification.

~Deadbeatloser 22 (I'm not sure how to tag people so forgive me if I did that wrong) when doing research on adding pages to the cutlist it seemed one of the big no nos was leaving broken redirects behind. So I was just trying to clean it up before doing that, so I didn't create problems.
~Druid Dan: And you thought that removing all the content from the page was the best way to do that? After also going in and systematically reverting every edit that another user made to fix things such as Zero-Context Example issues?

~Deadbeatloser 22 I did honestly think that was the best way to add it to the cutlist yes, as for the rest I didn't undo every edit, at first it seemed to problem was not enough info so I was going to try and take it on a one by one basis to fix each one. I tried a few and those were undone by a mod trying to fix a "Ghost Wick" which I'm not entirely sure on, So I tried again, both times I left the majority of the content hidden and only unhid what I was trying to fix. When it became clear I still wasn't doing it right. I kind of decided to wave the white flag. I only submitted it to the cutlist because I thought it was better than leaving a half finished page.
That doesn't really answer the question. Wouldn't it be better to send a message about it? I rarely get on as it is anyway. I was only on at the time because I was looking up something and misclicked on the edit page button. So I really don't even know how long I was even suspended for. I don't even know why exactly it happened even if I have a strong guess as to why since there was no reason stated anywhere.
HI, I seemingly got my ability to edit back, now it's gone again. Was this a mistake.
Nevermind. I somehow logged onto "Yqatuba" (old account I don't use anymore) I just removed it from my login recommendations so I don't click it again.

~tyrekecorrea: I read the TLP comments. All of them. You rudely accused people of throwing away your work when most of them appeared not to be aware of the sandbox in the first place. There's nothing ambiguous here. If you can't see that, we have a problem.
~T-Squared: You need to abide by the rules of the community. This isn't a negotiable point. Don't rush to do things; wait for feedback. That is one of the biggest problems with Trope Launch Pad in general. Perhaps it's best if you remain suspended from that area and only edit the wiki for now.
~Plasma Power: Wow. I didn't think "my opinion is not the only one that counts" would be a life lesson that's necessary to teach, but I'm glad we could help. Now will you cut out the rudeness? If we release you and you get suspended again, that's it. There won't be more chances.

~Candle Man 87: First, you rogue launched a trope. You didn't apply red makeup to it. Second, I'm losing sympathy with people who click the "launch" button without reading the text above it, then ignore the second prompt and click a completely different "launch" button.
Separately, you added some pictures to Characters.Gwain Saga without changing the default caption text. This lazy and haphazard approach to editing simply will not work on our site. If you can't be bothered to make an effort, we won't let you participate.

~Holy Driver: Suspensions are issued when someone breaks the rules sufficiently that it needs to be stopped. You may or may not receive a warning or notification in advance and we are under no obligation to do so. They do not expire, either. The only way to get one removed is to come here and talk to us.
Now, onto the actual issue: you have been replacing English names with Japanese names on various articles for One Piece. This is in explicit violation of our policy for names. Further, you Edit Warred when your changes were correctly reverted.
It seems that ignoring rules is a trend with you.

@Fighteer: Oh, I know that I need to abide by the rules. However, the rule about feedback before launching was not made obvious to me; no offense or ignorance intended. It's an unfortunate aspect of my mental territory, that I rush into things before thinking at times. I can take just editing the wiki as a compromise.

If it helps even before I was suspended I had already planned on focusing on smaller edits and not trying to create a new page from scratch, at least until I'd learned the ropes a bit more.

my account suspended because I unknowingly rouge launched a trope I really liked because I didn’t pay attention to the guidelines, So i apologize for breaking the rules and hoping that you will forgive me and allow me to edit and contribute to this wiki again, I promise to pay close attention to the rules and guidelines in the future.
