This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

OK. Do you not see any reason why people would be suspicious after repeated emphasis and reiteration of what you want to see done (without responding to what people have brought up previously), you change a voted-for crowner option to be yours?
I don't necessarily think you did this on purpose, given you had some issues with the crowner vs. posting that I helped you out on, but I'm trying to let you see why we have these concerns, and want to forestall issues moving forward.
What can I do to release the suspension?
~VacuousSeaUrchin, Fighteer listed out the various concerns we had here. Did you have questions about anything covered there? This is really the best time to discuss anything you don't understand, to prevent problems in the future.
Hi. I removed the Ambiguously Gay trope from Goro Akechi (Persona 5)'s page back at the beginning of March. I got a response from the mod for that page, saying I was supposed to ask them before making major changes (which I didn't know), and they put the section back. My issue is that the section is a blantantly clear bias exhibited by shippers in the fandom and I think should not be on a page about the character. I was mean and rude to the mod, but only cause I have been dealing with these shippers for months and they have been ruthless to me and has caused me to be angry at all of them. But when I gave them evidence to the fact that they're were rings for Goro, the P5 protag, AND Kasumi released when they claimed in that trope that there was only ones for Goro and the protag, they just responded with "Oh I ship and respect Shusumi (Kasumi x Protag) too, which was NOT my point at all. I just think the mod should not be allowed to include their personal biases and let them control their running of the pages. I feel bad for being needlessly rude, but I've been on guard for months cause of these shippers and I'm more quick to attack people who I fear might attack me. Please remove my suspension. Thanks.

That wasn't a moderator that you contacted, but a more experienced troper that was trying to help you. Actual moderators have a tag after their names to indicate that they moderate the site as a whole.
Anyways, yes, you should have discussed this before removing it again and thus starting the edit war. However, there was also suspected what we call "editing with an agenda". Basically, it involves using personal biases—usually counterproductive ones—to influence your edits.

-nombretomado Honestly, I'm not really sure what I did that caused me to get suspended. I was just editing some pages, mainly to see if there were any spelling errors, and suddenly I got suspended
~Gregster101, alright, please take a look at Edit War and Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, as your suspension was in regards to edits made on YMMV.Fire Emblem Fates that went against both of those policies.

OK, good to hear. Before we release your suspension, please confirm to me your understanding of what to do if an edit of yours is removed, so you can avoid edit-warring in the future.
It's hard to do something similar for the other issue of complaining, but, in short, even YMMV pages are not places to pontificate about how terrible something is. If you must, there's reviews you can add, and you can have (quality) discussions in the forums.

Well, no. You shouldn't be adding it back without further discussion. If someone removes your edit, you should seek to resolve the disagreement. You can do it over PM's, but as that's only two parties, you are also welcome to use places like Ask the Tropers, the discussion page, or one of the forum threads that is best-suited for the example in question. (We have many trope-specific clean-up threads, but also general questions like Is this an example?.) It's also advisable to notify the other troper you are taking the matter to whichever location you end up using.

Hi, i’ve recently gotten a new phone, logged in and discovered that I’ve apparently been suspended. I’ve read through the process, and I’m hoping this satisfies as an appeal. So i got sospended again. Can i know why please? I admit i deserved it the first time, but i don't remember breaking any rule recently and i didn't start any edit war this time.

I am sorry but when did i start an edit war? After the first warning (and expulsion) i honestly don't remember making the same mistake twice.

~Raf97: There are in fact multiple entries you edit warred almost immediately after coming back from your last suspension for edit warring, including the add-delete-readd chain of So Okay, It's Average, as well as your questionable deletion of the Vocal Minority entry. If you engage in the same conduct that got you suspended before, to the point where you get re-suspended within two weeks, then generally we're going to be disinclined to extend you one of those incredibly rare third chances since that indicates to us that the initial suspension did in fact not succeed in modifying your behaviour effectively.

I mean the movie's opening weekend was one of the wort in DC's history since Jonah Hex, so i seriously doubt that just a vocal minority didn't watch it.
I also wish to point out that i corrected the "So okai, it's average" a good three weeks before the last time i editted anything in the YMMV page. And only once when i added sources to back my claim and i stopped when it was readded again (without much of an explaination i may add).

1) Using caps is not a crime 2) Just because I used all caps on a non-acronym once or twice doesn’t mean I was a raving maniac. You were mistaking emphasis for anger. These rash judgments got the pages in question deleted in the first place. The people who contributed to the pages weren’t even made aware of the discussion until the thread was linked for them in an Ask The Tropers post /after/ the pages were deleted. How is that fair? 3) You cannot tell me “We suggested you change one behavior, so we decided to suspend you without warning for a completely different behavior”. 4) You decided to allow character assassination instead of addressing the argument being made, eliminating them from the discussion so you can win the argument, claiming they behaved in such an unbecoming manner when they didn’t, forcing them to admit to behavior they didn’t do before allowing them to come back. That is completely underhanded
