This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

As I said, I stopped making the change when someone pointed out it was Edit Warring. Before I knew I was banned. So this idea that "It doesn't stop until someone is banned." doesn't apply here.

Okay, why'd I get suspended? I made sure not to be rude or edit war, but made sure to give edit reasons for most of my removals (I hope I didn't forget a major one). If I did something wrong now, I really am sorry (especially looking back at my old behavior) and will not do it again.

Well we can still discuss that on the thread in long term projects. And I was unaware that making more of those was breaking any rules.
Plus I did recently make sure that any I posted (like the useful notes ykttw for clothing, which was made with approval of that thread) had some reason to be there, not just "X wears this". It's "This is what wearing X means".

You're missing the point entirely. [Characterization] + [Possession or Appearance] is not a trope. [Characterization] is the trope, full stop. The cosmetic trappings of the trope should be summarized in the description, optionally expanded upon in the Analysis subpage, and described in the examples.

I didn't focus on just characterization either though, because I agree with that. Again, that thread is a great place to discuss that.
I'm not doing that anymore (the most is the useful notes ykttw for clothes, but again that was based on a crowner in the appearance tropes thread; other users here chose that option).

~Dragon Quest Z: This YKTTW, for example. Part of the problem with your proposals is that they tend to be splits of compound tropes where the splitoff trope(s) is/are rarely if ever shown independently from the compound trope.

Okay I'd be up to heavily reworking it and even dropping it if need be, but why is that, or even a few other weak ones, a bannable offense?
EDIT: Also what's the compound trope? It's not Requisite Royal Regalia (and I think that one is getting too many non-regalia items slapped on it) since it's more a general high status item (similar to Regal Ruff... is that the compound trope?).
