This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

I'm sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. A guy comes into the Fallout 4 thread and insults, mocks, and orders me and someone else to delete or edit our posts or leave the thread entirely because he's offended by a slang phrase, and I'm the one banned for it? I called him out on it and told him to stop. He was far more insulting than me, and was also the one who instigated the issue. The issue, of course, was left and gone and we'd all moved on, but now I come back to see I'm banned from all forum sections??
This is absolute insanity. I did NOTHING to deserve a forum-wide ban. This guy can just walk in and insult people and command them to leave the thread (while indirectly talking to them like they have mental issues", but the person who calls him out on it is the one who gets banned?
Please do explain why this happened. I'd like it reversed. I've done literally nothing wrong here, and any rudeness I expressed was less than half of what he expressed.
And no, calling someone "sensitive" isn't insulting. It's not "bullying" or "harassment", it's a type of person.

Not meaning to doublepost maliciously, but I can sympathize with this "Dino" guy above. Is there some paid untouchable status I'm missing? I can be called a bigot, troll, retarded, and insulted by someone for disagreeing with him or calling him sensitive, but HE gets off scot-free, and I'm the one left with a forum-wide ban?

To reiterate something that was mentioned in this thread earlier:
You were hollered about by multiple people for your comments during that exchange. Upon reading the entire thing, the majority of the insults and belligerence are coming from you. Even the person who got the ball rolling in the first place told you to cut it out. That was about as far from "best possible behavior" as you could get.

I'm not trying and I wasn't trying to be belligerent or insulting. I spend a lot of time on chans and have a little bit of an... abrasive, or at least apathetic, posting style, and I never intend to be outright rude. It's just my way of posting.
That's not an excuse, not trying to make it one, but it's just a thing.
The multiple people hollering at me were mostly the people who were furious with my political beliefs, the same ones who made claims that I was linking to racist websites which got me banned from OTC to begin with. I may try to appeal the OTC ban in the future and that isn't the subject of this, but do keep in mind that several of those users could care less what I posted there. The fact it was me, someone they thing is a "bigoted misguided troll" on the sole basis of disagreeing with them, is what caused them to get angry. I hope that makes sense.
At any rate, we'd already moved on from that conversation, and again I wasn't intending to not be on my best behavior. The horrid attitude of the poster in question who started complaining of the phrase used annoyed me, and I did the wrong thing; instead of reporting him, I took it upon myself to attack him. I suppose two wrongs don't make a right, but I'm much less accustomed to reporting people for wrongdoings and more accustomed to taking initiative myself. I can see why this isn't always a good thing, and looking back, yes, I became more rude and passive-aggressive than he was.
That all being said, I don't think a forum-wide ban is necessary for a bout of misunderstanding between two people who, while not on an equal level of wrong, are still in the wrong. I think a warning to me and a warning to him would have sufficed, honestly, but that isn't my call.
What I will say is I apologize for coming off as rude, and it wasn't my intention to do so. I hope you can reconsider that and undo the forum-wide ban. I'm not an intentional troublemaker, I'm just outspoken and abrasive. That can cause trouble with some people, I know, and I shouldn't begin such arguments. They usually do lead to escalating rudeness that I end up winning in; case in point, what happened in the thread. It's not a good thing to win in this case, of course.
I'll be more careful to control my temper in the future and report rather than attack users whom I see committing violations or wrongs, I promise you that, and I hope with that being said you'll consider returning my posting privileges to me. If not, I'll accept that as well. Regretable, but I'll accept it as your decision and perhaps try to appeal it again in the future. However, I do hope you believe I'm not out to cause problems.

I'd personally would like to thank Fighteer and shimaspawn, despite the initial difficulty that I had in realizing my mistake in making sure the ZC Es I made were made clear on the trope pages, something that I wish to avoid in the future.
I would like to raise a question to any moderator available if my editing rights are still suspended as of now.

Please accept my deepest apologies for any and all mistakes I've made recetly. It wasn't my intention to create such an awkward and embarrassing situation. If there was any good that came out of this unfortunate experience, it's that I've learned to pay more attention to any and all warnings I recive on this site.
I will assume that this is a result of my losing my temper with The Dan Man on the various Fire Emblem pages.
If it is then I apologize for assuming an angry and abusive tone. I do feel the other party was being unreasonable, patronizing, and rude, but that's no excuse. You don't fight fire with fire, you fight it with water.
I understand that, some time ago, I was brought up for similar problems. For that, I can only apologize again. I had thought I learned my lesson, but... I'm not sure what to say. Only that I will again try to temper my temper in the future.
EDIT: I suspect, with the benefit of hindsight, that I just technically fought an edit war. Damn. I can't justify that. I should have, at the very least, tried taking it to discussion first. I've even done so successfully in the past.

While I'll admit I'm still not 100% certain what I've done wrong, I can promise I will try to do the proper research before I conduct a complete edit. And while I don't recall receiving as many warnings or terminations, I will strive to correct my mistakes and reign in my opinions and obstinate tendencies.

Hello; I'd like to find out why for I was banned (I have a pretty good idea of what it might have been, but as anyone who has been pulled over will tell you, don't guess when the officer starts in with "Do you know why I pulled you over?"), and to begin the process of repentance and reconciliation.

Sire, stop the multiposting. It doesn't help your case and you were already told to cease with it. Ignoring that won't encourage anybody to unsuspend you. Also, the other people's behaviour is not relevant here - we have a very strict "two wrongs don't make a right" policy in appeals.
What you did wrong in that thread was to pick an argument and not letting it go when people asked you to stop.
