How to create your own troper page
Note: if you started with a handle beginning with a number or containing an non-alphanumeric, you need to make a handle beginning with a letter and only containing alphanumerics.
- Click on your name in a forum post of yours or click your profile picture on the upper right corner of the screen and select "Troper Page" from the drop down menu.
- On the page that appears, click on the edit button.
- Edit the page. If you want markup help, click on the "Show Markup Help" button.
- Save your changes.
- You're done. Congratulations! Give yourself a cookie.
I would also like to know how can I add tropes to my page.
Thanks a lot in advance!

It wasn't a problem before because the thing which means that only tropers with that handle can edit that page is very recent.
To fix it, copy your old hyphenated page over to Blue Ice Tea. You can get the full markup by clicking the "source" button. Then cutlist the old page, explaining that you've moved it.
If you like, you can ask for a Custom Title to get the hyphen to display on the new page too without it being in the URL.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Hey, I'm new, and every time I try to write my own troper page, and click save, it doesn't save anything and just goes back to "page does not exist". I know it's probably because I'm doing something wrong, being new and all, but can someone help?
Also, how do I add myself to the Contributors page?
Try this link: Obsydian Dreamer. If it still won't save, post again. And you don't have to do anything to add it to the Contributor's list. That's done automagically, when the page type is set to "a contributor" which I've already done.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I tried again, and it still wont save. Is there anything that could be causing it? Everything's fine when I post in the Forums...
Are you trying to add an external link? There is a restriction against new accounts doing that, due to spam problems.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThanks for the tip. The external links to my fanfiction.net and DA accounts were the issue. My mistake.
BTW, How long does one have to be here before external links are allowed?
Thanks everyone who helped.
That's confidential information. And not the same duration for everyone, as far as I know.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAhhh okay. Thanks again for all your help :)
Hey, I'm new here, and I want to make a Contributor's page for myself. I know I have to use a workaround because of the punctuation in my handle, but every time I try, it tells me 'This page can only be edited by R Bluefish.' Sorry if this has been answered already...I'm not that bright.
Beware the gazebo! You have two options:
- Create an account called R Bluefish, create your troper page, and link to it in your signature. You will have to log out every time you want to edit your troper page.
- Create the account, create your troper page, and migrate to using that handle (you can Custom Title your troper page to display with the period if you want). If you do this, your troper page will be linked at the top of your forum posts.
So there's no way to do this without creating a new account?
Beware the gazebo! No. Handles with punctuation can't have wiki articles, plain and simple.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"New problem: it says I can't have two accounts on one email address?
Beware the gazebo! You'll need admin help with that one. Send a PM to Fast Eddie.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Just to start my page.
It's actually Tropers.Wolfgang Amadeus Penis.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAs an FYI, we'd appreciate handles that don't try to shock or offend people. We don't care if you use the word "penis" in conversation, but putting it in your handle is crass.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I apologize if asking this is redundant, but I have a few questions- Firstly, how do I add tropes to my contributor's page- say if I wanted to give tropes that relate to myself? Much oblige if someone answers! :)

Knuckles does in fact chuckle, his theme song lies.In the same way as you would add to a work page?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThank you. ^^
Knuckles does in fact chuckle, his theme song lies.Have edits to the Contributor's Page been locked? If so, how can I put my profile on the list?
When you make your page in the Troper. namespace and set the page type to "a Contributor" it will automatically be added to the list. If either of those criteria aren't met, it won't, and that list is no longer open to manual editing.
It's there now.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.It appears there by default.

Oh. So how do I fix that? And why wasn't it a problem before?
