YES.
OMG YOU BRILLIANT MAN, YOU.
Accept my hasty declaration of love.
We can tamper with those...and travel under Hyrule and be awesome and stuffs and...stuff.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan Chah... You know, that sounds like an excellent idea, mon! Hey, while we're at it, let there be a revelation that there's a huge, powerful beast sleeping deep under Hyrule, and have it be freed by the tectonic-tampering. From there, we can have Link, due to the circumstances of the beast's release, be warped into a feral monster. Then, we can have Link go to seven different corners of Hyrule and find the means to stop the beast and set the tectonic plates back in "place." Also, we can have him team up with an amnesiac, chatty sprite and-!

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.-. . . by said sprite, with Link's "Dragon's Breath"-
Bombs hurt, don't they?
That post becomes hilarious when you imagine the Sonic Unleashed Battle Music starting up as Komodin falls to the ground in slow-motion.
I imagined the classic death sound when the -shot- message came.

Not just Hyrule, but also other lands. It would surely increase the series' lore, provided that each land is given a backstory. More or less like in Metroid Prime 3 (where Samus explores multiple planets instead of just one).

But they're aiming for a 3-year development, rather than a 5-year one.
Ah, a Zelda World Adventure, yuh? I wouldn't mind a game like that at all!
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Maybe let them revisit a more open-ended structure? Maybe they can combine the controls and combat of Skyward Sword with the more open-ended design of the older Zeldas.
There should be a game where Link decides to not actually go on the adventure, but instead he takes a nap and dreams about the adventure. Then when he wakes up he changes his mind and goes out on the adventure because his dreams are so boss. Sadly, he is killed by a single Keese.
I'd still like a Zelda that stays in a highly expanded and more industrial Hyrule Town.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorWell, it'd be a reason to bring back Holodrum and Labrynna, at least!
I sure said that!In terms of world-shifting abilities... Maybe a Dark Cloud-style thing, where you have the ability to change and rearrange features of the world? And depending on how you place and design it, different things happen...

@ Komodin: The name of the beast? Dark Terra Termina—Oops, sorry. My Seed Shooter misfired. You ok?
@ Tommy: Link's Awakening II: Link Doesn't Wake Up
@ Heavy: That was your idea with the dungeons being located under Castle Town, right?

Nope. That was someone else, I think.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorIf we're doing world exploration, maybe some places can be breather levels where it's less, "Stop bad guy here" and more "Explore, have fun, pick up some extras along the way." Don't turn it into a fetch quest or some overly long thing, just a stop you can come back to for some fun games and pretty places to explore.
Even make it relevant by adding in different areas that need different tools to access, so there's reason to keep coming back.
I'd kinda like to see something that's a cross between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess in terms of how the world is structured. Like instead of an open ocean you have a continent, but there are a lot of rivers that you could sail around on to get from place to place.
Reaction Image RepositoryViking Link! Hero of the Rivers! I could totally see that, but he'd have to use the Master Axe instead of Master Sword.
I wonder how the fanbase would react if they revealed the next Link to be like 30 years old and have a beard.
Reaction Image RepositoryRuined forever?
"Saving princesses... has changed."
If they keep Zelda at age 17, it'll be "Saving Princesses, it's for perverts now!" As if it ever wasn't.
@ Aondeug: I'll do you one better. Let's tamper with the tectonic plates under Hyrule. And let's bring the Subrosians and Mogmas back into the picture.
