Nah nah nah, you don't get to use feudalism as an excuse if you're ruled by a psychic mecha-piloting furry who hands out magic rocks.

Bleye knows Sabers. But the psychic furry also has a wealth of godlike technology only he can control.
Honestly, giving the original tribes even the illusion of choice when it came to allying with Hyrule is more than you would expect.
(Though, weirdly, given that there's no indication whatsoever given that Sonia ever had a child, her implication to Rauru that Zelda is their descendant doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess that line was Nintendo's attempt to imply it without making anyone think about the mechanics, which, sorry Nintendo, but E621 exists.)
It's been fun.Yeah don’t get me wrong, I understand the historical context but the optics are.... well you know.....
Besides the optics, there's the fact that the races in Hyrule are in a different political situation than Feudal Japan.
Edit: @Red Savant. I checked the scenes and no one in-universe actually knows Ganondorf is behind the Molduga attack.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Thoughts on the bosses I've gotten to so far:
The Wind Temple boss was awesome. Not especially challenging, but the battle was badass as all hell. The tornadoes are the primary exception to this; I have no idea how you're supposed to respond to them.
The Death Mountain thing was... frustrating. I don't know if I'm just bad at it, but handling that flying machine was unnecessarily difficult.
The Fire Temple boss was fine. Not super memorable, frankly, but the fight was good.
My Avatar is trying to break out of her seal and throttle Rauru as we speak.
Bleye knows Sabers.Edelgard: Do not look away. For you witness an Emperor's coronation... and the birth of a new Hyrule!

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Got to more of some of the star-shaped islands. Didn't expect them to break and fall from the sky while you're standing on them. Bit of an funny surprise.
Thankfully they do show up as some sort of 'scroll' symbol on the map once you show the pictures you take of them to the guy asking for them. This definitely helps in narrowing down which ones you haven't found.
The best part is one coincidentally happens to be over a chasm, too, so it falls all the way down into the Depths.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Got a new Scimitar of the Seven and fused a White-Lynel Horn to it... Pretty sure Ganondorf will drop dead from just looking at this thing.

Just as a note, for whatever reason you can't repair that with the rock octorok trick. If it breaks you'll have to get another one (though at least you can get one without having to destroy or use up your Dawnbreaker too).
It's been fun. This is already my second one, I've broken one before (though that one only had a Silver Lizalfos horn). Still, appreciate the tip.
In BOTW I never wanted to use the Champion Weapons to the point of breaking. Felt wrong, so once they get worn down, I just hung them in Link's house. Since these aren't the originals anyway, I don't feel bad about it.
I like to think that canononically, the tribe chiefs pass down the Champion weapons, so one of the Scimitars Riju uses is the one Urbosa had.
Youtube randomly suggesting me a video where it's one guy whining about "Nintendo not caring about the timeline" and groaning about Miyamoto even though he isn't involved at all at any of the recent games. Why do people still care?

Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. Most people don't its just a single issue wink to some people
New theme music also a boxThis is why it's better as just a fun experiment rather than a serious thing.
Like I personally think BOTW and TOK take place in the far future of the Adult timeline but it's also more plausible that it's in an entirely new continuity.
Long as Demise isn't influencing Ganondorf in any way, I'm good.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.God I still don’t get why people act like Demise is the bane of Gannondorf’s existence.
He's such a bane on Gannondorf's existence that he doesn't exist.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Still exists. Still gets alluded to. And to be honest he was more interesting than the average Gannondorf portrayal.
Maybe this Gannondorf is a lame villain then.
But Ganondorf on the other hand is better than Demise.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Demise is just a newer concept in an older franchise, people find some new things scary and Ganondorf/Ganon is safe and familiar to fans
New theme music also a boxIt's been over 10 years since Demise showed up.
And he's a lame villain. Ghirahim carried most of Skyward Sword. He's a way more unique and interesting villain in Zelda and people like him.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. And with the exception of Wind Waker Ganondorf’s main thing as a villain was hijacking the more interesting/unique villains plotline so he can be the big bad because…. Well I guess he’s the main villain.
Like Ghirahim to Demise is just a repeat of Zant to Ganondorf
Not really, we never learn WHY Ghirahim is loyal to Demise besides being his sword and they don't have much interactions at all.
By contrast, there's actual setup and backstory for Zant and Ganondorf. Zant is a psychotic brat who got passed over for the throne and made a deal with Ganondorf who he mistook as a God. Like it or not, there's a lot more going here than Zant being all " I must serve my master " He has an actual reason to be loyal to Ganondorf, immortality and rulership of the Twilight Realm is a good motivator.
Heck, Zant even betrays and kills Ganondorf at the end depending on how you see the final scene. Ghirahim stays loyal to Demise by contrast.
Ganondorf also has more interactions with the heroes in TP, particularly Midna. Heck he even beats the shit out of Midna.
Demise has nothing on that.

Well, the Gerudo don't have the economic or military power to stand up to Hyrule as equals, plus being part of Hyrule means they'd benefit immensely from trade and perhaps aid from the prosperous kingdom, so it seems to naturally follow that they'd be vassalized.
That's just how stuff worked in the Feudal Age (which Zelda is perpetually stuck in).
