This feels weird to say, but I feel like Groose and Midna have had the best character arcs out of the Zelda games I've played (which I think is all of the 3D ones discounting Warriors). Even if they are kind of your general "antagonist to friend" sorts.
I'm also not counting the overall storytelling of, say, Zelda in BOTW, even though I also think she was the best-written character there.

It's been fun.I agree, especially Groose. He's probably the best Zelda NPC ever.
I liked Zelda's character arc in BOTW for the most part, but IMO it was just a bit too disjointed. Midna's arc is still my favorite.
Granted, most Zelda NPCs don't have arcs per se, they have roles. Which is absolutely fine.
It's been fun. That was probably the funnest thing about writing my fanfic for Legend of Zelda: All the side characters and NP Cs now being given the spotlight and a chance to be protagonists alongside Link. It was fun to mix and match them into groups as the story went along and watch the dynamics between them play out, especially if some were villains matched up with protagonists for story reasons - those were the best scenes to write.

A thought: given how many assets they share, anyone else hoping that the Link's Awakening remake will be followed by one for the Oracles? Those WERE my childhood, man. Maybe they could even include the scrapped third quest, surely the Swtch has enough oomph for that?
" High five "
The Oracle games are masterpieces of Childhood.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I liked how Seasons was focused on combat and Ages on sidequests and minigames, much like with the two N64 games.
Plus Veran and Onyx were such interesting bad guys, and the whole hijacked by Ganon was creatively done.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It'd be cool if one, we could just get both games on one cartridge, or two, if playing through both of them could just unlock that third game, at long last. Or both at once. Because I'd pay sixty dollars for essentially three games at once.
Now I want to go play the copies I bought on my 3DS. Relive my teenage years, in which these three games were my first real exposure to the series.
I had no idea who Ganon was, but hey, it was a cool boss fight at the end.
What, if anything, do we know about the scrapped third game, other than it focusing on Farore?
It would involve color-changing puzzles, with too much or not enough color. No idea on the villain.
The Protomen enhanced my life.A remake of the Oracle games with the both of them on one cartridge would be fantastic. It would be especially great if the game would let you quickly jump between Holodrum and Labrynna after you beat the first final boss.
Also, a TRUE FINAL DUNGEON type of thing that uses all the items you gather across the two games would be rad.
It'd be cool to see Ganondorf in the Oracle style like in the art book. He had looooooong arms!
The Protomen enhanced my life.Forget the arms, that Ganondorf has the largest popped collar in history.◊

....I didn't even know he appeared in the Oracle games as anything but his pig man self.
Go figure.
One Strip! One Strip!Same,I only know he appeared in all the 3D games on the main consoles
New theme music also a boxHe doesn't; that's a piece of unused concept art.
Oh. That's a shame. It looks pretty good.
One Strip! One Strip! In the Oracle games Ganon isn't even alive until immediately before the final boss fight. But it's built up pretty well.
I think bringing back the three games idea would be cool. Obviously it wouldn't be a remake so much as a reimagining at that point, but even so.
I missed the part where that's my problem. And speaking of Oracle bosses, always kind of wondered if the dungeon guardians are Onox and Veran's lackeys or if they're benevolent beings who are just testing you.
I would have liked it if botw had the Mogma. It could have also used 3 more beasts, so that would have have been Mogma, Sheikah, and...I don't know Yetis?
Also would have liked it if Groose and Twinrovia were in Hyrule Warriors.
