No, he drops to his knees as he turns to stone.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Regardless, heβs still upright.
Also, underwater. Even if he wasnβt turned to effing stone, his body wouldnβt mummify like that.
I'm wondering how mummy Ganon escaped Zelda's sealing voodoo. I guess we just dealt with the excess malice when we fought Dark Beast Ganon while the corpse may have just fell further underground after we killed the Guardian bits he was grafted to.
I mean, what if Ganondorf somehow separated himself from Ganon? I don't know how such a thing might happen, other than to wave my hands and say the Triforce was responsible, but I could see that being what happened.
Come to think of it... I don't recall the Triforce coming up at all in Breath of the Wild. So maybe that's going to be a major point in the sequel.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Zelda seemingly had the whole thing when she sealed Ganon away.
Although I'm not sure if Ganon is seperated from Ganondorf in this case, or that would make Ganondorf any less evil since he's exuding malice as a desiccated corpse still.
Oh, I vaguely remembering the Triforce coming up... though it wasn't clear if she had it (which doesn't preclude her subsequently losing it) or if it was just symbolic of channeling the power or something.
Also, I'm definitely assuming that separating Ganon from Ganondorf wouldn't do anything to make the latter less evil - just probably more in control of his actions.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I'm pretty sure if Zelda had the entire Triforce, she'd have been able to do more than sit on him for a century until Link came back.
Now, with one piece, she'd have likely have also been able to do more, or had it taken from her by him.
One Strip! One Strip!I wonder if we'll get Old Man Link from the earlier Bo TW designs.
Secret SignatureYou would think. But Ganon also had the whole thing in Link to the Past and did nothing with it so there is precedent that having the whole thing doesn't make you quite as omnipotent as you would hope.
Fair enough.
Yuga got his hands on the entire things as well didn't he?
Or he at least had more pieces than Link, and he still got the pork slapped out of him.
One Strip! One Strip! My theory is that Ganondorf's body was sealed away a long, long time before Breath of the Wild, but his hatred became strong enough to manifest as Calamity Ganon, and that's the real story of Ganon's "transformation into Malice". If my theory is correct that might make this version of Ganondorf the Greater-Scope Villain of Breath of the Wild.
Anyone going to talk about that big buffalo type thing they apparently rode in on?
I think you can see/fight/hunt those in the over-world in Breath of the Wild, I guess they can be tamed as beasts of burden.

Link can ride a fucking bear, of course those things can be trained into packmules.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyAll I know is it's not a Water Buffalo or a Hateno Cow. This thing is much bigger and way hairier.
Hairier? It doesn't look hairy at all in the shot of it walking past the carved wall. Also in that same shot I think I can see its tail and it does not look like any mammal's tail so I'm thinking that it's a Cartoon Creature.
On a related note, rats were not featured anywhere in Breath of the Wild, so unless they made those rat models just for the cutscene that's new.
Oh, wait, what I assumed was hair was actually equipment strapped to its sides and back. I thought we were dealing a giant yak or something. Still really big and still something we haven't seen before.

Yeah, I'm expecting every creature type from the last game to return, plus a few new ones for this game.
Frankly, more enemy variety will be nice, it got kinda tiring fighting mainly bokoblin-type enemies in the last game. Give me some Like-Likes, Wolfos, and Redead.
Just noticed there is a mural on the wall in the trailer that has a man with a trident on horseback. I guess we may be going into Ganondorf's past in the Breath of the Wild Mythology.
Hoping Zelda herself plays a role as an Ellie like assist/partner for the game though.

I think a more appropriate comparison would be to Atreus from the new God of War, since she's also an archer that does magic.
It's been 3000 yearsβ¦Having never played that game I will also offer up Resident Evil 0 where you can dynamically switch and separate the two for puzzle solving.
If Ganondorf is the main antagonist of this game I hope they emphasize all the traits that Calamity Ganon didn't have and make him a Contrasting Sequel Antagonist to himself. Bonus points if they make him more than a Generic Doomsday Villain while keeping him as a creepy zombie.
Oh speaking of, if this Ganon is more intelligent than the last one I want to see him interacting with the Yiga Clan.
I just had a fun idea, not sure Nintendo would ever go for it. Say we play as Zelda, and the plot revolves around Link being captured or taken out of commission. What if Link is our exposition fairy? What if the tutorial level is Link teaching Zelda survival skills and how to use the Slate's new runes?
that would require him to get over his aversion to speech tho
Drippy cavern where Ganon's mummy is, is the buried Hyrule from beneath the waves from long long ago
