>still relatively early on in BOTW
>decide to explore a bit, head east past Hateno Village
>cross the ocean to see what's up with that shrine on that island way out there
>"A Major Test of Strength"
>Guardian Scout IV
>oops
I did somehow manage to take down the Guardian Scout III in a neighboring shrine (via using up most of my best weapons/shields, and finishing it with a suicidally overconfident beam parry), so that's something, but I think I'll come back for the other challenge later. Much later. Same goes for Eventide Island.

At least now you can telepork back there.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Some advice for the future, Guardian and Ancient type Weapons deal extra damage to Guardian type enemies.

Man, yeah, that Guardian Scout IV is really weirdly placed, what with the rest of the Hateno region being early-game friendly and all. I did eventually manage to kill it by pelting it with bomb arrows, and going for a Ice Arrow - Hammer combo once I ran out of those, but I don't know if any other fight killed me as many times as that.
But the pain there turned into catharsis later, now that I can take down Guardian Scout IVs with ease.

Yeah, I had a similar experience.
I'm significantly more powerful now and could probably take it but who knows.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I had issues with the nearby "modest" test, do when I saw it was a "major" one, well...
Sometimes I wish they're update the characters in super smash bros. to reflect their more recent incarnations. I don't if they'll be doing that anytime soon since all it will result in is a bunch of whining hardcore smash players(no offense to anyone who plays smash, I just mean the people who take every single mechanic way too seriously, like the people who love melee and hate brawl). I just think it's weird we're still playing as Twilight Princess Link after ten years, when there have been two more 3D incarnations since, who would probably have more interesting movesets

Well in the case of Zelda, she hasn't been a Princess since Twilight Princess (which is where her model comes from) and they might want to keep her consistent with Link.
I'm guess when Zelda properly rocks the full dress again, she'll get a design upgrade, and Link will join her.
One Strip! One Strip!Zelda does have a full dress in BOTW, but only for ceremonial occasions like the first memory.
But anyway, updating characters in Smash to reflect "recent" games would be unethical to all players, casual and hardcore.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Even if it was only aesthetic?
Zelda should use her HW design in the next Smash
Song of the SirensOnly aesthetic is fine.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. All of the Zelda characters should use their HW designs in the next Smash.

Trans rights are human rights.ganondorf is replaced with calamity ganon, fulfilling the "CHANGE HIS MOVESET" crowd's wishes in the absolute worst possible way
Incorporating some of the BOTW phantoms in his moveset wouldn't be a bad idea actually
That would be cool. I don't know if there's some licensing issue with using the Hyrule Warriors incarnations since it was developed by Team Ninja
Giving the Zelda cast their Hyrule Warriors outfits would be like giving the Mario cast their Strikers outfits.
It wouldn't work.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page....Whatever you say.
Trans rights are human rights....What? Seriously, what? That'd be like saying that changing Zelda and Ganondorf to their Twilight Princess incarnations was "unethical" to Melee players.
And what's with that dramatic choice of word, even?
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Like I said before, purely aesthetic revamps are fine.
I'm guessing they didn't go with an SS revamp of the cast because they don't mesh well with the overall style of Smash. Or they want something that contrasts Toon Link better.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Ganondorf last appeared in TP. Since they can't change him, maybe they just figured they'd keep them consistent. It's less work that way anyway.
Using the Hyrule Warrior designs next time could work since there'd be designs for all of them, including Sheik, though maybe someone involved would object due to it being made by a third-party.
For at least Link and Zelda, maybe instead of specifically focusing on one incarnation of them they should use a sort of amalgam design that represents the series as a whole. Perhaps keep Zelda brunette to make her stand out from Peach more, though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!still holding out for a Classic Tunic skin for Link in Smash Bros
Edited. I was too lazy to add spoiler tags to all that so I threw it behind a folder.
