So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

But 3D models instead of old sprite models just feels wrong.

Pretty much every FF game and tons of other RP Gs are on sale on PSN until March 6. I'm very interested in this to snatch up some classics like the Suikoden games which I have never played.

Hey, does anyone here listen to Know One Can Know About This? Alternate title: the one where we play every Final Fantasy. They just got done playing 7. It's pretty funny.
Hadn’t heard of it until now, but it sounds entertaining.
It really is. They've done four games so far, but they started with 1, which is a remarkably shorter season than the ones that come after. They're not really doing them in order, they chose to do FF 2 by coin flip with 8 being the other option. So far they've covered 1, 4, 6, and 7. And they just wrapped up with the last one, so they're kind of on hiatus while they get the next one covered.
I do wonder if they include the side games like Tactics in this, but right now they just seem to be doing just the main games.

Kiros from VIII is higher than 76, too, but almost certainly not very high, which makes him the most popular black FF character by default.

Someone in the comments said Kiros wasn’t even on the poll. I can’t verify that since we don’t have the rest of the results, but it’s possible.
We don't have all the results, yet, just 11 - 30 and 76 - 198. If Fat Chocobo and the Shoopuff driver are in I'm going to assume a party member with as much screen time as Laguna is, too.
