TVTropes Pokémon League

How does one get Shoddy to work on a Macbook? I'll be all over the Fighting Team (got a sweet team ready to make), but I dunno how to make it not upload as a text file.

Challenged etc.

Hmm, loaded the team and hit accept.

But nothing happened. Well the window closed, but that's the same as "nothing".

If anybody has Wi-fi, please contact me, or at least make a part of the thread for it.

I don't have the money for a DS, nor Pokemon, nor the time to breed Pokemon, so yes. Pokemon emulators.

^^^^ DS wi-fi is incompatible with most security settings nowadays.

Not to mention some people don't have a DS.

Big Daddy P, I'll be happy to collect and organize DS friend codes for those who want to play there. As for me, I also have neither DS nor any 4th-gen games, so battle simulators are where I get my kicks.

Ugh, for some reason it lagged out when I challenged.

You try challenging me, otherwise for some reason it won't work. I forgot I was having trouble with this before. Maybe shitty laptop.

Well that was hilarious.

I didn't really expect to win but all but one of my Pokemon got one-hit KO'd.

I can see why Stealth Rock frustrates people.

Going to put together a new team, I have no strategy at all in this game. It's kinda sad. :/

Yeah. I'd ban Stealth Rock long before banning Evasion.

Evasion is much worse than Stealth Rock.

Stealth Rock will be my bane, unless I can find a Rapid Spinning Fire Type...

Anyways, I'm gonna go on the Shoddy Server now, username is Champion Roxas. I don't have a monotype team built, but I have plenty of random ones...

Ban both?

I can see that the metagame would quickly overtake the actual game game if we don't....

I'm voting yes, only because I've read our page on Pokemon and know that the metagame seems to revolve almost entirely around that move, which doesn't seem all that fun to me....

Don't really get what that means...

I'm not in favor of it, but meh. It doesn't effect me much.

It just seems...silly.

EDIT: It doesn't "revolve" around it, it's just very good, and is usually put into calcs, so it comes up a lot when being discussed.

^^^^ For Evasion you have FS/OO/ME, No Guard, Sweet Scent, Gravity, Aura Sphere, Shockwave, etc.

For Stealth Rock you have Rapid Spin. Oh, and good luck using Bug, Flying, or Fire.
