I went to crosswick a couple of Space Opera light novels on the genre page—an indexed page—and noticed somebody had commented out a huge chunk of the page as Zero Context Examples.

This seemed like a good opportunity to bring up an inconsistency with how we handle indexed genre pages: should we be requiring works listed on such pages to have context?

Indexed genre articles do not have context requirements in the same way as trope articles.

[up]That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure of what the current policy was before I worked on Space Opera, as well as raise the topic in case folks thought that should maybe change. There's also the question of whether works we don't have pages for should be included on the index; ditto creator pages.

Yes, you can redlink work articles on genre indexes and creator pages.
